Excuse my ignorance I'm new to sea fishing, are these just normal weights? I can't work out what the wire legs are for 🤷♂️ can anyone help?

Hi these have legs that you bend out to about 45 degrees, they then dig into the ground to hold your bait were you casted it. the legs pop out when you want to re bait and snap them back into place. used lots when big seas are on

Are they 100% lead? Or mixed metals

They are lead with steel wires. Good quality mouldings.
