My rating come from inexperience of first time trying to use this gauge. It's works as described, a good looking gauge. I enjoy using it and getting the hang of it to fit certain objects but until than I will enjoy it to no end.

Bought as a gift. He loved it. No feedback on its actual function.

I have used both metal and plastic versions. I like metal ones best but for the price these work well.

Very accurate and a good product

I bought these measuring tools for my son in law. He likes to build things himself and does a lot of work around his house. He loved the gages as he can get a more precise measurement of some difficult places and everything fits first time around. He has always followed measure twice and cut once but these make it easier for him in the corners and.doorways.

I was putting in a new floor and thought these would be handy for contours around various items I had to work around. I had a 450lb cast iron bathtub with 4 legs to the floor that's been there for 90 years, and 6 water pipes through the floor. The problem is when you get the contours, trying to trace them by pencil of course the pencil is going to be several mm offset so if you cut there, not even close to right. On top of that, trying to trace by pencil, even being extremely gentle, the plastic leaves bend away and you are all messed up. I used a ruler and calipers to measure and cut. Worked much better for me.

My hubby loves it, he uses it all the time.

Bought this for my husband as part of his Christmas present. It arrived pretty quickly considering covid and all and he’s delighted with it.

They work pretty much as i expected. Getting the right tension first is important for the locking mechanism and gives better results once fine tuned. Unfortunately both sizes i received had slightly bent "pins" so gauging and tracing is less accurate.

Excellent bit of kit, every diy guy should have one, great thing to have in toolbox.
