I had seen good reviews for this brand and wasn't disappointed. The chisel is performing exactly as I had hoped it would. Great product with fast service.

I've bought a few Kakuri tools in the past (Japanese chisels, planes, hammers and measuring equipment) and I get the impression that they're aimed at the serious DIYer/hobbyist market. They're always high quality, but competitively priced, as is this chisel. Comes sharp and ready to use (apart from driving the top ring more tightly on to the handle, as is the Japanese tradition) and with some pictorial instructions which can be followed without reading Japanese.

Better than the English equivalent, I had a fatmax which was really good when it eventually broke I opted for this having started to use a lot of Japanese tools, I'm very happy with the price and quality of this tool.

Brand-new addition to my chisel set

Had a small ding on the edge so I’ve had to regrind it. Once done it’s a nice chisel and seems to hold an edge.

Returned as rusted after one use.
