This was the cheapest key/remote set I could find for my 2012 Mustang, but it’s worked out perfectly well, just like the models that are many times the price from a dealership. Just remember that you will have to find a locksmith willing to program and pair them to your vehicle, which is getting harder to find these days.

Both the key and the remote are easy to program. Just be sure that you have two working keys in order to program the key. Video instructions are plentiful on the internet.However, I was very disappointed when my local Ace Hardware store wanted $24.99 just to cut the key (with no programming on their part).Took a couple of phone calls but quickly found a close by independent locksmith shop that cut the key for $6. Pretty obvious that Ace Hardware wants to discourage providing your own key blank.

So far the fob works. Took key to Lowes and tried to have it cut and programed. They cut it but were not able to program. Going to locksmith today to see if they can. If not then I have a faulty key.

It arrived as described, I took key to a locksmith and they cut it, came home a programed my remote, remarkably easy to do.

It's the same cut the fusions use but it's not the same chip.

The keyfob programmed fine but I literally have to be in the driver's seat for it to operate. I thought it might have been a bad battery so I put a fresh battery in and still the same behavior. Contacted support and he said, try reprogramming again in 1hr and in the meantime leave the battery out of the remote 🤦‍♂️waste of time.
