Was not sure as low cost. Works really well. distance is v.handy. I put on new cat6 300m roll, despite saying only does 200m returned 292m. Other on 30m & around that seems v.accurate. Discovered a bad cable as length result showed 1 different. Continuity much clearer also. I have one of the basic testers that pulses through & so much easier to see pins lined up (or not as the case may be) V.impressed & doing a lot of new wiring & helped a lot!

This is indispensable for testing Cat5 cables around the home, especially for CCTV. Very good value for what it does. The live mains test is a good deal safer than a screwdriver with a neon.

This works well so far. Tested cat6 and cat6a installs for continuity and it works well. Simple to use, clear backlit display and identified a fault in one of my runs straightaway. Opened up the backbox and sure enough, one of the wires had snapped when another had been punched in adjacent to it. A quick rewire of that module and all running well now. Comes in good packaging, and ships with a fabric case that is better than some I've encountered. Even has loops to hold spare batteries - which is a nice touch. The unit will test cat6A unlike others I looked at before buying this one. It has the ability to check the ground connection as well as pins 1-8. It can also test PoE and has settings to scan cables, ping switches to pulse the LED, and help you work out which cable is which in a bundle down some trunking. It has a patch cable to plug in but you'll need a second one to plug in the receiver unit, and tbh I use a longer patch cable to plug the main unit into the main plate too for easier positioning etc. Good value for money, so far it's been reliable and happy I went with it. I haven't been able to try its PoE test functions yet so just giving 4* for now, but will update once I've got to that part of the work.

Very easy to use and accurate, helped find some faults on customer site where cables were damaged, good purchase and hubby likes it so keeps him quiet!

good value for the money spent , only problem so far (only used once ) when on sounder trace , this unit does giver faults readings , more so if you are holding a bunch of cables at the time of tracing, (note to self) allow cables to be traced to hang free as any contact will allow a fouls signal to happen..

delivered quickly, well packed. very cheap plasticy feeling , did all basic test seem s alright , apart from recevier tone its really low , i tried it in quite room and i feel its really low , i dont know how i am going to hear it on site🤞.

The ring option not accurate on a distance over 20m . Never expected that the cable measure option to work and it doesn't.

Product was zoals door de leverancier beschreven, met een Engelse en een Duitse handleiding. Deze handleidingen passen in het bijgeleverde hoesje met ritssluiting, zodat ze niet zoek raken en dus altijd bij de hand zijn. Nieuwe batterijen voor de apparaten waren bijgevoegd, zoals het hoort. De verschillende onderdelen zaten netjes in een extra verpakking, zie de bigevoegde foto. Ik heb er ondertussen gebruik van gemaakt en kon prima nagaan welke netwerkkabels met welke apparaten waren verbonden. Wel even de aan/uit knop van de emitter wat langer ingedrukt houden, hij heeft dat nodig om op te kunnen starten. Ook kan gemakkelijk gecontroleerd worden of een netwerkkabel defect is. Verder kan de lengte van een netwerkkabel op elektronische wijze worden gemeten (mits niet verbinden met een ander apparaat; daar wordt duidelijk voor gewaarschuwd!). Er worden kleine oortelefoontjes meegeleverd, maar die heb ik niet nodig gehad. De gevoeligheid bij een meting is instelbaar en de signalen waren goed hoorbaar. Klein probleempje bij de levering gehad door mijn eigen fout, maar dat is voorbeeldig door deze leverancier opgelost. Kortom: aanrader!

It might not have the color scheme and the "feel" quality of other higher end products... but it sure performs very well. I put it to use to trace a line as well as test a marginal cable as soon as the unit arrived. It delivered on all fronts. It sure combines many capabilities in one reasonably priced tool I am glad I purchased it and have it at my disposal
