Great for fluffy baked potatoes, just handle with care in the sink
Great little rods for baking potatoes or yams, they cook beautifully and come out fluffy inside, just be careful when washing them in the sink because one slipped into my drain once and jammed my garbage disposal, so they work great, just handle with a little care

👍YES, They Actually Work!
I had heard about these before and have read some reviews about these in the past, most were good and a few were not so good, but I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm a baked potato lover, so I make them fairly often. I know the usual bake time and temperature and I have to say these actually work. Not only do they reduce the bake time significantly, they also help to get the center of the potato to cook more thoroughly and evenly. These skewers are a bargain, they are perfectly sized, easy to clean and extremely durable! Highly recommend!

Great length
These are nice and long to go into larger potatoes. I think they help distribute the heat evenly and potatoes cook faster

Not so sure with sweet potatoes
We eat mostly sweet potatoes around here, and they do the job of getting the potatoes done sooner. However, I wouldn't call them sturdy, not for sweet potatoes anyway. I got one started, and kept turning them; maybe if they had threads like screws? I would say be careful with these until you get the feel of them, so you don't drive it through your hand by accident. I got about halfway through, and ended up turning it over and hammered it lightly on the counter to drive the rod the rest of the way through the potato. And the rod bent about an inch from the top. I was able to unbend it with my hands. Sweet potatoes seem to be quite dense and tougher than russets and others. So, FWIW, that's my experience..

Works great.
These are well made and easy to use. I've been needing to replace my old potato rods, and these are working perfectly. They are long enough for large potatoes, and the pull handle makes removing the rod easy.

Great baking rods!
I would wrestle with Kabab skewers to push them through the potatoes. A great price for what you get. These rods are sturdy, stainless, and transfer heat better. the unique design made it easier to pull the rod out of the potato, even with oven mitts on. The potatoes were cooked through and through and came out with a smooth and creamy texture without over-baking. these rods shortened the baking time.

Bake Quality Potatoes with This
We won't bake potatoes in the oven without them. The potatoes cook evenly and actually come out a little fluffier. Good product
