Rockford FosgatePrime R168X2 6" x 8" 2-Way Full Range Coaxial Speakers (Pair)

I purchased a pair of 6x8 speakers, installed them in less than 30 minutes and the result... my expectations were blown away.The sound quality is out of this world for the price. Clarity is top-notch. The speakers do lack in bass, but that’s okay because that’s the purpose of a comprehensive sound system with supplemental subwoofers.As far as power, this is where I had the biggest surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I will tell you these speakers are insanely loud! I’m running them on an aftermarket head unit, which pushes about 50W per speaker. (Pretty close to most stock head units). I COULDN'T EVEN TURN THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP WITHOUT HURTING MY EARS! The best part is, the speakers maintain clarity and performance even when you have them cranking loud. I opened my doors and played some music while I worked on the property, and it sounded like a huge sound system was playing.You will not regret these speakers, and don’t fuss about an amp for them. Save that for your subs. You will be pleasantly surprised for how much bang for your buck you will get with these speakers. They are absolutely incredible.

Very impressed with speakers so far. I am by no means an audiophile, and bought these speakers because they were from a reputable brand at a low price and would be a massive upgrade over the OEM Ford fleet quality speakers. Installation went as expected, with no issues, even for someone who has never done a car audio installation before. Just took my time and did my research and made sure I wired the polarities correctly. I was initially upset with the quality of sound, but after a quick setting change (took the volume off of max) on the input device the speakers came to life. With a little more tuning and fiddling at the headunit, they now sound phenomenal. These are not hooked up to amp, but straight from a Sony headunit.2008 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor(4) 6x8"

For the money you really can't go wrong with these speakers when you need to replace your stock speakers.These are not top of the speakers where they are crystal clear with the high and lows, but for the cost you should not expect that.These fit well in the doors of my 2007 Ford Focus 4 door.The sound is full and clear enough for basic daily driver use where the general public don't really need to hear what your playing on your radio.I have an older kenwood 100 headset.

Sounds good would buy again sounds two time as loud as them Walmart speakers heavy and good quality fit as they say they came one day before the delivery time easy to install love how they come with screws they were really helpful

Fit and sound great!!!I was worried that my factory 2006 Ford F150 XLT radio would not have enough output to drive these speakers.But its doing a great job, the factory speakers were 4ohms 25watts 6x8, the Rockford set went in without any modifications and the factory radiopushes the 4ohm 55watts very well.One thing that you have to notice is that all radio stations do not transmit the same quality signals for best sounds out of your radio.I've noticed that three stations out of twelve have a HD (high definition) type of sound to there transmission, but when playing any CD's with HD sound you can tell what I mean. The Rockford Fosgate Prime are the ticket, you can even add an amp if you want to, but if I did that I would put theRockford Fosgate "PUNCH" speakers in. Either way I believe you will be happy, I'm just not sure if the factory radio can push the "PUNCH" watt'd speakers.

One speaker stopped working after 1 month. I connected another one and it worked just fine.

The price was very nice. These are a great replacement for a blown set, but as an upgrade, if someone were to listen the day before and the day after an install, they would likely not notice a difference. I recommend upgrading just tweeters if you do not plan to amp the doors. These made highs a little brighter but the mids are lacking. About the same decibel output as OEM. 2013 F150 FX4 Supercrew with the Sony System.
