Vichy Neovadiol Compensating Complex Replenishing Care Day Moisturizer

I've been using Peach and Lily's Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Moisturizer during the day, and I was crazy about it at first. But lately, I just don't feel it's been as moisturizing as it should be, and the consistency is rather thin. I don't wear makeup when I'm at home, and often I would put another layer of moisturizer on because it felt as if the first one just wasn't enough. Then I saw an ad for Vichy and came to Amazon to read the reviews.Although I'm not post-menopausal (yet), I felt my skin could benefit from this moisturizer because it's very, very dry, and my mother and maternal grandmother had premature aging. I could have inherited it, and if I did, I wanted to nip it in the bud, and keep my face moisturized. (I have never smoked, drank alcohol, or sun bathed, so that's in my favor.)Even though I'm not menopausal, I decided to give this cream a try. I love it! It isn't the slightest bit greasy or sticky, at least to me, and it's thicker than the cream I was formerly using. It feels very luxurious when I apply it, and it leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth all day long, something my other moisturizer did not do. I got up very early this morning, so it's been about twelve hours since I've applied the moisturizer, and right now, I don't feel the need to reapply. My skin still feels soft and dewy, with not a hint of dryness.This moisturizer might seem pricey to some, but you don't need much at all, so it's not as expensive as you might think. And the jar isn't quite as small as the picture makes it seem. It will last quite a while. And believe me, I've tried a $400 moisturizer, and I prefer the Vichy. The $400 moisturizer was just as good, but no better. Right now, I only have a few superficial lines around my chin, but I'm hoping this moisturizer takes care of those. If I continue to love this cream as much as I love it today, I'll be buying the night cream and the oil serum as well. (Right now, I use a niacinamide serum in the day and a retinol serum at night, along with Peach and Lily's Glass Skin Serum, but I like to use one brand only, if possible.)This moisturizer does have a very light floral scent, but as one reviewer has already said, the scent quickly dissipates leaving no scent at all. So, if you like unscented products, no problem here.This moisturizer was formulated to combat loss of structure, sagging, dryness, and loss of density. I have very dry skin, and my skin does tend to be thin. So sagging and loss of structure are probably in my future unless I start doing something now, being proactive.If this moisturizer works as well as it's advertised to, I'll be a regular customer and a very happy one.

The moisturizer is light and it feels like it works the minute you put it on. I tried samples of very expensive moisturizers but couldn't afford but I'm so glad I found Vichy Neovadiol because is as good and affordable. I already noticed the improvement in my skin.

Feels luxurious when you apply it and leaves a nice matte finish--not greasy looking. Perfect for middle-aged skin. I wore it alone in my 50s with no foundation. Now that I'm in my 60s I use it as the top coat over my vitamin C and hyaluronic acid serums. Still no foundation.

I've been using this cream for almost a month now. The "Anti-Aging Need" in the description states for Post-Menopausal Aging. Since I've been post menopausal for over 20 years now I think I qualify. :-) (Why do they show young women on ads for older women's products?)Even though this jar only holds 1.69oz. it does last a long time because I only use a dab at a time and spread it around my face. It's a thick silky cream that is not at all sticky or greasy, absorbs into the skin, and has a pleasant mild scent (to me it could have more scent). I've probably used less than half the jar so far. I had another Vichy product that I really liked that was a lot more floral scented.So, does it help plump the appearance of my wrinkles? Not that I can tell, at least not so far. Does it provide hydration? I'd say yes. Is it worth the price? To me, no, but I have never been one to wear much makeup or worry about wrinkles (I earned them, after all). I do like the feel of the cream on my face and I feel like I'm pampering myself when I use it.

I have tried almost all the Vimchy Skin care line and each one only makes me love them more. My skin is so soft, clear, youthful, and luminous! I am so happy I found them. Such a great value for a great product!

I don't know whether it was a manufacturer issue or an Amazon issue, but I received this and the Vichy Neovadiol Compensating Complex night cream and both appeared to be used. The outer package was damaged (I received them in two different packages) and not taped. When I opened the creams, neither had a seal. These did not look to be untouched and I believe they must have been returns.Had it not been for that, I would have given this at least 4 stars, however. I am 52 and menopausal which has resulted in dramatic skin change. I have tried several products, from creams, serums, to balms and oils. All of those that I've tried, despite the claim that they were for dry skin, just sat on my face. My face just felt as though I painted my face and I felt no moisturizing benefits.These products were different. I have noticed a difference, and while it may be hard to believe, I noticed it relatively quickly. My skin wasn't suddenly flawless, but I did notice a subtle difference in the appearance of my skin and my skin didn't start to feel paper dry within an hour.So, if someone can get their act together and send new, unused products, I would recommend this product.

Vichy cream, I have been using for over twenty years, now that I’m older, this cream is better for your skin, it’s heavy but soft. It makes your skin look healthy and very easy to apply makeup.
