The book arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was a new book at a great price. However my only disappointment was that there was no DVD or CD included with the book.

Good Buy. Worth the Price

This primer is ideal for someone starting on the violin. It begins right from the very basics of naming the violin parts and explaining what all the musical notation means.It moves on to simple open string bowing and then to finger positions. The latter half of the book introduces the beginner to small recognisable pieces which gradually increase in technical difficulty.It is an excellent teaching book for any violin teacher.

I purchased this book to use myself, it does nothing for a person to use without a teacher. It doesn't even name the strings. How disappointing. Even a book the student follows along with should name the strings, minimum and tell more about the instrument and label the notes and show finger position at the same time.
