It depends on the sellers. Some sellers may be selling HDD (with no warranty, used/pull HDD sold as new, etc.). Our stock, however, is 100% new with 5 year warranty.

No the HDD is enterprise class and uses faster CMR track writing.

Q: Title says "toshiba ... 3.5" sata", details say "interface serial attached scsi" & "the canvio ready 2.5 inch external hard drive" what is correct?

There are a number of description errors here 1. the model number is wrong, is for 16TB version. 2 is not SCSI but ATA, SCSI are more expensive. I suggest Amazon to sort this out with the seller until then hold. NOTE The model number is critical if you want to use it for NAS units as NAS manufacturer lists only approved drives to be used. I had a different drive model supplied which different to the listed model and NAS rejected the new drive.
