Grest Piece Of Kit
This is a great piece of kit. The sound quality is top notch. It’s easy to set up and the internet radio is amazing with the amount of channels available. I rated this product as 5 Star but there was just one thing I must mark it down on and that is the FM Radio. Maybe it’s my location but I struggled to pick up local stations. However the DAB was easy to set up and that’s the Radio side I would be using. Overall I would definitely recommend this Product.

Excellent Value for Money!
I've waited a few weeks before submitting a review, just to see how well this works in different weather conditions (we live in a dip and DAB and FM reception is usually very poor when there is a heavy cloud or rain). So -This replaced a much more expensive unity which had finally died. I wasn't sure what the quality would be like - given the price difference- but this is a great unity.Very easy to use, sound is good on both DAB radio and CD (though I think an external antenna would help FM reception in areas like mine). What has really impressed me is the Internet radio. Very quick link to stations, reliable signal and good sound quality.

Looks good and has a rich sound
The exterior looks well made and classy. Check out the dimensions because I wouldn’t use it on a bedside table like they advertise. The extra bass speaker certainly adds depth and richness to the sound. But because the main speakers are relatively small, it can overwhelm the sound in some circumstances. Luckily you can turn the bass speaker off with one button or select your own EQ.There are outputs for an amp or active speakers, so you could make it part of a separates system.Although it has a rather cheap remote control, I would recommend using the UNDOK app. It’s very simple but effective.I’ve had two problems. Connecting to my WiFi using WPS didn’t work, so I skipped it and entered the password. The other issue is that the Bluetooth doesn’t work with my fairly new TV, but it does connect with my iPhone.

Stopped working after 3 weeks
The sound is fantastic. I was over the moon with it. For 3 weeks I was very happy, then one morning it didn't connect to the Internet radio. Connected to network but no radio. Turned it off for 15 mins then it wouldn't turn on at all, trapping a cd inside. If you had a working one you would be very happy with it. Unfortunately mine is unreliable and now I'm unwilling to risk a replacement. I will return it and try a different one. Shame, as for 3 weeks I was very very happy.I gave it 2 stars for its sound. Reliability is more important of course

An attractive-looking, full featured and rich-sounding compact music system
In early January 2021, I bought this new, updated version of the LeMega M5+ music system (walnut-finish version) and am very pleased with it. I have owned the closely-related but now-discontinued LeMega M4+ for just over two years and was sufficiently impressed with it that I wanted to add a second LeMega. This new version of the M5+ was introduced in November 2020 and was an easy choice for me, as it looks great and is now the only stereo LeMega music system with both a CD player and a large base-mounted subwoofer - the 4 black rubber feet of the unit are slightly tall to allow the subwoofer the space to work, sonically. There is also a single bass reflex port on the back of the unit. Back in late 2018 when I bought my first LeMega, the M4+ (also CD player and subwoofer-equipped), I'd also considered the previous-style M5+ as I liked its sloping front design with brushed aluminium centre panel and silver speaker grilles with rounded outer edges (the M4+ is plainer, vertical-fronted with a yellowish-cream plastic centre panel and cream, square speaker grilles). However, the first-type M5+ was more expensive and I couldn't see much difference in the specification - also, I wasn't keen on its black control knob on top and the row of small, round, black function buttons across the bottom of its metal front panel (trivial I know, but I'm shallow that way!).The new M5+ retains the aspects of the styling that I liked, and has been improved as its function buttons are now arranged in a ring around the power/volume/snooze/mute knob on top of the unit, leaving the front panel button-free. This top control array on top is similar to that on the M4+ but whereas that cheaper model had all of it in cream plastic, the new M5+ has it finished in silver - in fact, the large knob/dial itself is machined, polished aluminium. The walnut finish is real wood veneer on all these models. Though the older M4+ that I have is discontinued, the still-current John Lewis Cello is a version of it with slightly different styling (paler cream plastic, a large rectangular button panel on top, different shaped front panel and a display panel of the shape and white text colour of the M5+, but unfortunately lacking the bold colour and legible design of the small icons that both LeMegas have, whilst also having the narrow viewing angle of the M5+ display, unlike the M4+ - see below). The Cello has a solid walnut cabinet rather than a veneered one but is clearly made by the same company - but very unfortunately, unlike the M4+ and both M5+ variants, it does not have Spotify Connect, which is one of my favourite features on the LeMegas. My new M5+ seems to me to sound even a little better than my older M4+, but both sound great to me! Its DAB reception strength and wifi signal strength are both a little stronger than my older M4+ (I have it sited in exactly the same place that my M4+ previously occupied) - unfortunately in my house, both units have rather weak FM reception with their built-in aerial, but these days I never need to listen to FM radio anyway. The M5+'s aerial is longer than the M4+ aerial when fully extended. The M5+ (like my older M4+) offers Bluetooth connection to devices, internet radio, a slot-loading CD player, DAB radio, FM radio, access to music on my local wifi network or a USB device (it has a USB socket on the rear), Aux in via a pair of gold-plated sockets on the rear (there is another pair for line out connection to an external amplifier or active speakers if required) and Spotify Connect to play tracks from an iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet for instance (a Spotify Premium account is required for this). The M5+ has worked flawlessly with Spotify Connect (sometimes the older M4+ was a bit reluctant to be found by it) and I find Spotify Connect usefully straightforward - the colour display on the LeMegas shows the cover art of tracks playing and the volume is more consistent with other sources than Bluetooth connections tend to be. The M5+ (in both this new and the previous versions) doesn't have a wired LAN connector (oddly, the cheaper M4+ did, though I never used it). Both my LeMegas have a headphone socket on the front, easily accessible, and come with a nice little infra red remote control with full functions including a number pad - useful, since there are 20 presets available for DAB radio, FM radio and internet radio - all are separate, so you can have up to 60 different presets between them. Though I assumed the remote was identical to my earlier one for the M4+, I discovered that there are some useful new features on the new M5+ (which the original M5+ did not have either) - there is now a button to step through the available equalizer presets with each push (previously these were accessible only by bringing up the system menu or the Undok app - see below) and a button to turn the subwoofer on and off (which wasn't possible before). These new controls are also included in the buttons on top of the M5+ itself. There are 9 choices for the equaliser - presets of Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop, News, and My EQ (the latter gives you control of bass, treble and loudness - an on or off effect that when on considerably boosts bass output - to your own preference). The CD player works well with slot loading and remote load-ejection if required; tracks can be selected with the number pad on the remote but it is otherwise fairly basic (not programmable as such but it has repeat and shuffle functions). The sound is again very good. The colour display on the front of the unit is fairly small so the font for menu settings and so forth is quite small, though the standby digital clock is large and legible (an alternative analogue clock is selectable). The display has options for brightness - High, Medium or Low for when it is being listened to, and Medium, Low, Very Low or Off when it is in standby - you can also pick a timed period since last operating a control for it to switch to the selected standby brightness whilst the unit is still being listened to. Here there is another of the new button functions on the remote and on top of the unit - a button marked "Dim" will cycle with each press through High, Medium and Low whilst the unit is active, which previously was only available by going to the menu (you still can). Text appears on the display in white against a black background, with extra icons and symbols which though small, are colourful and easy to differentiate. The black background unfortunately polarises to a brighter grey at certain angles (strangely the older M4+ doesn't do that, perhaps because its display, although identical in style, has the text in yellow?).The M5+ (like the earlier version of the M5+ and the M4+) also has a sleep timer and two alarms, which can be set to buzz or play the music source of your choice (CD, DAB, FM, internet radio etc.) and there is a snooze function accessible from the main knob on top of the unit or the remote. In addition to the infra red remote control, the M5+ (like my older M4+) can be operated from a phone or tablet with the free Undok app, which works well and actually allows easy access to the equaliser presets and settings, even on the older M4+ too. It also allows access to station presets and most other functions. All in all, the LeMega M5+ is a very well-specified, lovely-looking and great-sounding mains-powered compact music system.

Stopped working after 2 years!
At first the music system was good and then after the warranty finished the sound stoped working. No longer plays music but looks like it is on. Rubbish, do not recommend

Great sound
I only received this product yesterday but am already well impressed. It looks and feels good quality. I have been used to the sound quality of a Bose but I would say the Le Mega easily matches it. There is a set up wizzard which was helpful until it came to connecting to the wi-fi. Although I followed the instructions given it wouldn't connect. For anyone else having the same problem if you select the 'skip' option it allows you to put in the wi-fi pin manually which worked straight away. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great sound! But the sound is no longer…
This is a clever piece of kit and ticks nearly all the boxes for me. My only disappointment is the absence of a port for charging a ‘phone. Given the price, it puzzles me why this option could not have been included? Many other similar models in the LeMega range seem to include it. 2025 update: the sound no longer works! I will not be purchasing a replacement from LeMega as they have no technical support or repair service. I have reduced my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. I should have gone to Roberts radio for a more reliable product.
