Prepworks by Progressive (Red)

We have tried several of these hand nut choppers and this is the best! Have been using it for over 4 months and no problems. The parts seem sturdy and the blades are strong and even hold up to frozen nuts, although probably better to let them thaw a bit. I would suggest trying this chopper. FYI the photo doesn't match exactly the shape of what we received. Our is squared at the top and the lid is attached/hinged. I really like the style we received.

Used it to chop some walnuts and macadamia nuts. I the consistency of the final product. Coarse chopping outcome was good enough, haven’t tried the fine chopping. Might need to buy a second chopper while they still sell them.

Update 01/017/2025 After using this maybe 20 times it broke in two at the V notch. May be my fault since I was chopping frozen almonds, but that's how I keep them fresh. On top search for a sturdier model.This works fine as long as you are careful when cranking the handle. The oval shape makes it easy to wobble if you are not careful. It does its job and cleans up easily.

This is the 2nd one of these I have bought,I bought one several years ago and use it to chop pecans... I bake a lot of breads at Christmas time to send to family, Banana breadStrawberry bread and Pumpkin bread.i use the pecans in the Banana and Strawberry breads..I ordered this one to send to my sister 😁 but changed my mind and kept it .. I posted pictures of them and Pecans I chopped... Love these and may get my sister one later.. 😉

I bought this thinking it would act like a kind of "shredder" for soft ingredients.That is not how it works. It works by using the crushing force of the blades and the slots to grind. The blades are NOT sharp. At all.I haven't tried it for its intended purpose, nuts, yet.It is dishwasher safe, so relatively easy to clean in that regard.

Have had one of these for years. It still works but plastic part started to crack, so figured it was about time to replace it. Wish there were more things made out of metal these days instead of plastic.I found that when using it for the harder nuts such as almonds, if I microwave them for a few seconds to soften them prior to using chopper, and doing a few at a time works best. Also using a half turn, back and forth helps limit the fines
