The best ear plugs Ive tried!
These are such good earplugs, so comfortable and reduces noise while still allowing you to hear voices when spoken to. Compared to the brand airplanes that I had used in the past, I much prefer these, they don’t hurt my ears like the ear planes did and they reduced the ear pressure that I get when flying. Also they are much better value for your money as they are re-usable several times! I highly recommend these ear plugs. Easy to insert and take out.

So comfortable I didn’t think they’d work
My Eustachian tubes have been messed up since I was a kid so I’ve been a loyal user of EarPlanes since forever. However, they’re expensive, only good for one round trip, and very uncomfortable. I’d been searching for an alternative when I found these. They had positive reviews so I decided to give them a go.I really thought they wouldn’t work when I first tried them on because they felt very comfortable in my ear. Too comfortable. I was suspicious. But, lo and behold, numerous trips later, I’ve had ZERO ear pain! They fit perfectly. I personally have smaller ears. They work amazingly, have held up, and are so much more cost effective. I will recommend this brand to everyone.

Works
Usually my ears take over 48 hrs to open after flight. Ears opened in less than a day. No pain on the first flight. Some pain with the descent with the return flight.Ears opened up in Les than 2 hours. I had no problem inserting or removing. ( I have used ear planes for years) These are better than ear planes.

Miracles - for me at least
I’ve written a similar “glowy” review for Earplanes, but Alpine are even better for me! The rest of this is super long, detailing my contrasting experience with each. Lots of you won’t care, be warned, and don’t be mad at me if you choose to read it all 😂 Bottom line: both work. Alpines are better.Context: I’m pretty well-traveled within the US, but only moderately so via air travel since I drive within 12 hours or so. I probably fly somewhere every 1-2 years. About a decade ago, when I began flying more frequently, I realized I was having excruciating ear pain. My left ear is always worse. Is my pain tolerance the highest out there? Unlikely. Nonetheless, there were a few flights where the pain was so bad, I thought my eardrum burst. Wiped my ear to check for blood. Crying while sitting next to a poor stranger. The pain would eventually reduce but hearing loss would last for over a week.I LOVE traveling, so I scoured the internet and discovered Earplanes first. I used them for a few years, including a trip from Boston to San Francisco to Hawaii and back - a vacation literal years in the making. They reduced my pain and hearing loss by probably 85%. I was SO happy, I remember crying from joy because the getaway we needed wouldn’t be marred by so much discomfort.Unfortunately Earplanes were single use only and very uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. Their instructions recommended leaving them in for entire flights, but I couldn’t tolerate them for 6 hours at a time. This meant breaking that seal and rendered them less effective when I put them back in a solid hour before landing. They were painful to me, but much better than nothing!!!On a recent Boston to Phoenix trip, I was restocking my Earplanes supply and tried out this brand as well. They’re it for me. Game changer. Super comfortable. So soft. Easy to take out and put back in, and made to do so. (That’s my husbands favorite part so he doesn’t look as controlling when ordering for me from flight attendants because I can’t hear ANYTHING with Earplanes. He uses to get suspicious looks 😂).These did a more effective job of balancing pressure for pain and hearing loss reduction for me. And they’re reusable!!! Huge money saver and a perk for someone kind of crunchy, like myself. They’re going to live in my airplane kit, and I may legitimately buy a backup. All of this said, I did purchase the child size Earplanes to try (perhaps the others are too large and less effective for me). I didn’t even try them, and not sure I will because the price to pay for a product not working well for me is pretty high.In contrast, Alpines completely eliminated my ear pain, and I only experienced hearing loss for maybe 30 minutes before they popped. No meds. Can you tell they’re there? Yeah. You’re wearing earplugs. But they didn’t hurt me.I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who had bad ear pain while flying. Whether for work when you need to be in control of your body, or for play when you’re just trying to have a relaxing getaway!! Life’s too short and these are too affordable to just “deal” with that level of debilitating discomfort.

It worked!
They worked great!! For several years when I fly I get pain in one ear and plugged ears that last a day or two. I used these on two 5.5 hour flights and no pain...no plugged ears!

Works great but with one major flaw
I sometimes get excruciating pain in my ears when I fly--particularly upon decent. I've used EarPlanes' EP2. I find the FlyFit more comfortable in my ears than the EP2. But the EP2 plugs are easier to get out. The tab on the FlyFit it too hard to grab. I just took 4 flights with the Fly fit, and, after one of the flight, I actually bought a pair of tweezers to help get one of the ear plugs out of my ear. Thankfully, I was eventually able to manipulate it to the point where I could pull it out and didn't need the tweezers. If Alpine fixes the design to make it easier to pull out, I would probably give 5 stars instead of 3.Bottom line. I'll probably use these again given that they're more comfortable in my ears, but I'm also going to bring a pair of tweezers just in case.

Do Not Travel Without Them
This product delivered on its promises. They’re small, minimally invasive, easy to insert and retrieve. They come in the perfect storage case. They reduce noise while still allowing you to hear and most definitely prevent pressure from building in your ear. Best decision I could’ve made to protect my ears while flying or on high altitude road trips. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Ear plugs worked for me
I have severe issues with my right ear. The plugs did a great job along with the noise canceling headphones. The key is using them together for the entire flight if possible. I also used over the counter medication 2 hours before.
