Every L&D professional (managers, trainers, IDs, HRBPs) should read this book
I absolutely love this book because it's so practical and does not contain unnecessary details. Before buying the book, I was trying to combine my own experience as a performance consultant, facilitator, manager, and instructional designer with design thinking and luckily I came across this book. The frameworks align with some of my own processes and include lots of great ideas.I have to design, develop and deliver solutions very quickly and they need to make a positive impact on people and the business. Their process ensures that you start with the people who will benefit from the learning/training experience first, then ensures the experiences will enable them to change behaviors that will impact the business. It's a great reference to other important work. I've benefitted from looking up their sources like David Wile's model of human performance and Thalheimer's updated questions for evaluations.

A new twist on the use of Design Thinking
For the Enablement and Training Pros out there, I just finished reading Sharon Boller and Laura Fletcher's new book Design Thinking for Training and Development and I can't recommend it more highly.Sharon and Laura did a tremendous job aligning the design thinking process to the specifics of creating training and development. This book is a true "how-to" guide that provides examples, tools, and step-by-step guidance on how to utilize design thinking in your own training creation.Whether you are a fan of design thinking, just getting started in training and development or just looking for a new tool to bring to your game, this book is for you.
