On the average, how long does one mineral block last with one adult conure?

I have a Fischer Lovebird and I've had the block for a year and it's about 1/2 it's original size

It will last a long time. I've had mine for well over a year.

Can a Parakeet eat this?

Do these attach to the sides of the cage or just lie on the bottom ?
