This will change your view on measuring in Grams!!
This scale works great and is perfect for making bread. I was intimidated at first as I have never used grams. This scale is super simple. The use of the scale actually saves from having so many dishes to wash and is more accurate because you don't have residue left in your measuring cups. A great example is honey. Just squeeze right into your bowl or container. Works the same for starter if you are making sourdough.

Good quality
My old scale kept going dim or shutting off while weighing for Sourdough. The instructions for this one to turn off Auto shut off are a bit confusing. Watch some videos on YouTube to learn how to set that up and use the Bakers percentage feature.

Works great
I have a soap making business that I use this scale for. I weigh in ounces and grams, it's easy to change back and forth and the display is bright and easy to read. I really like this scale. It's easy to use and keep clean.

Not quite what I expected, but overall a good scale.
I've been having problems finding the right digital scale. I bake all my own breads, buns, pizza doughs, etc so scales get a lot of use, but nothing seems to be able to handle the rigors of my kitchen.I have gone through a few of the cheap Taylor brand scales, which seem to conk out on me about every 6 months or so. I next tried the popular OXO brand scale, but I accidentally spilled water on it and the display went on the fritz. I need something that can handle my sometimes-clumsy nature.I ended up picking this one up and overall I like it. I was a little disappointed that it's mostly plastic because it looks like stainless in the picture and it's labeled as a stainless scale in a misleading way, but at this price that seemed too good to be true so I wasn't surprised. The only stainless bit is the outer layer for the platform where you place your goods. What I like:- Fairly fast response. It's not as fast as the OXO, but it's way faster than the cheaper Taylors I had before (even on the fastest setting it's not as fast as the OXO).- Very easy to read, and I prefer the elevated platform over the pull-out mechanism of the OXO.- Ability to keep display on indefinitely, also has various settings for display shut-off time.- Ability to plug into a wall (also supports batteries).- I like the plastic guard, it seems like it will protect the display. I also like that when you lift it up, it stays in place, so if I'm having to tare often I don't have to keep lifting it up.- Seems accurate enough for my needs. What I'm not a huge fan of:- It's super lightweight and slides around on my counter too easily. Putting a towel under it helps, but I wish it was more stable.- While it is accurate enough for most of what I do, I find that it's not great if you have to do something like measure a single gram. It will go from 0 to 2, for example.- While this doesn't affect me because I don't require extreme precision, I have noticed that it will display slightly different weights if I re-weigh something. For example, if I have a cup with water and it weighs, say, 510 grams, sometimes if I remove it and put it back on the scale it will say 509 or 511.- The instructions ask to calibrate it with a standardized weight, and what everyday person has something like that on hand? I tested it with objects that have known weights (like nickels) and it seems accurate out of the box, so it doesn't seem like an issue, but it's worth pointing out.I would look up how to change settings, or read the manual. It's not intuitive but some settings can be changed, such as shut-off time (I have seen reviewers mention that it can't be changed for indefinite time, but it certainly can). That sounds like a lot of cons for a 4-star review, but most of them don't really affect me on a day-to-day basis so they're not dealbreakers. If something changes then I will update my review!

Best scale for baking & cooking
I mostly for weighing ingredients for baking. Have also used to weigh cooking ingredients. I have two and will often take one to work when baking because there are only measuring spoons & measuring in house.

I needed a accurate scale
This is a very good scale. I needed a new scale and the reviews on this one were all great. Since I weigh my ingredients instead of measuring them I need a accurate scale. By weighing ingredients I also don't have a ton of measuring cups I have to use. It is very light weight and easy to use.
