Classic Cleaning Kit That Still Delivers
Classic Cleaning Kit That Still DeliversThis Hoppe’s No. 9 pistol cleaning kit is one of those classic products that has been around forever, and after using it I can see why. The kit is simple but effective—inside the box you get the aluminum rod with handle, patches, and the famous Hoppe’s No. 9 solvent. Everything you need to clean a .38, .357, or 9mm pistol is here. The aluminum rod is lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy. It threads together securely and reaches easily down the barrel without scratching. The included slotted tip works fine for patches, though I’d recommend picking up some extra caliber-specific brushes if you really want to get into heavy fouling. The No. 9 solvent has that unmistakable Hoppe’s scent, and it cuts through carbon buildup and powder residue quickly. A little goes a long way, so the small bottle in this kit is actually quite practical for most handgun owners.I like that the kit is compact—easy to toss in a range bag for quick cleanings after shooting. The patches included are fine for a start, but you’ll definitely want more since they go fast. Also, the packaging is basic (mine came in a simple blister pack), so don’t expect a fancy case to keep everything organized.Bottom line: A tried-and-true starter kit for handgun cleaning. It’s affordable, portable, and backed by a name most shooters trust. If you clean your firearms often, you’ll eventually add brushes and more patches, but this kit is a solid foundation that does the job well.

Three generations and going strong
When my dad passed, I found his original 1945 Hoppe’s rifle cleaning kit with the .22 my grandfather gave him on his 15th birthday. That kit still works, and while I upgraded the oil and the cleaning fluid after 70+ years, I still clean dad’s .22 with that kit today. When I recently had the need for a 9mm pistol cleaning kit, there was no question I would buy a Hoppe’s. Any company that can make quality products that last most of a century deserve to be a go-to. This 9mm cleaning kit is great. It has everything you need. Who cares the kind of box it comes in, what matters is on the inside. And here’s my favorite part - the items in this kit are EXACTLY the same quality that gramps bought my dad in 1945. Of it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Don’t save a buck on Chinese kits from a company you have never heard of. Hoppe’s kits have lasted the test of time - three generations and will someday be handed down to a fourth. Why buy anyone else’s firearm cleaning kits?

Keeps My 9mm Pew Pew Fresh and Happy
I use this kit for my 9mm pew pew, and it does the job perfectly. If you’re new to firearm maintenance and worried about messing something up, don’t be—this kit makes it easy, even for those of us who aren’t gunsmiths but still want our pew pews to live their best lives. What’s in the Box?✔ Hoppe’s No. 9 Solvent (2oz) – The holy water of gun cleaning. It smells strong enough to open a wormhole, but it melts away carbon buildup like it’s nothing. Just apply it to some cleaning patches, run them through the barrel, and watch the grime surrender.✔ Hoppe’s Lubricating Oil (2.25oz) – Because no one likes dry, creaky moving parts—especially not your pew pew. A little bit of this keeps things smooth and rust-free. Pro tip: less is more. You want to lubricate, not marinate.✔ Aluminum Cleaning Rod + Brush – A sturdy rod with a bronze brush that fits my 9mm barrel perfectly. Just attach, scrub, and repeat until things start looking brand new again.✔ Storage Box – Keeps everything neat and tidy, so you don’t end up with cleaning supplies scattered like Legos waiting to ambush your feet. Why It’s a Win:Works exactly as expected – No gimmicks, just solid cleaning power.Great for beginners – If you can clean a spoon, you can clean a pew pew with this kit.Affordable and effective – Way cheaper than sending it off for a cleaning, and you get to feel like a responsible pew pew owner.Minor Annoyances?🔹 Doesn’t come with cleaning patches, but those are easy to get.🔹 If you use too much solvent, your workspace will smell like a chemical lab, so ventilate unless you enjoy the feeling of losing brain cells.Final Thoughts:If your 9mm has been through some action and needs a spa day, this kit will get it cleaned up and running smooth again. Hoppe’s No. 9 is a classic for a reason, and this kit is a must-have for any pew pew owner who actually wants their firearm to last longer than a carton of milk.
