NO. Just lean forward, so you can maneuver the massager to the LOCATION you want; then lean back -- against a surface, like a chair or recliner -- and let the massager do its work.

The product is pretty much just one massage session and is a great value for money. This product charges fast and is used cordless. Easy to travel with. You can (1) reverse the massage clockwise / counter clockwise, (2) change the heat setting, and (3) change the intensity. Highly recommended.
