I have multiples of these in my home, paired with Leviton smart switches (Gen 2). Those Gen 2 switches are all updated to Matter, and I use Apple HomeKit to mange them via the Home app. They work very fast, and I’ve had literally zero trouble since installing them in May of 2023. I highly recommend these as the basis of any smart home effort. I’m not kidding, Matter is F-A-S-T. I also have them controlled via my Samsung SmartThings fridge. The fridge is a secondary Matter controller, relying on my HomeKit hubs (AppleTVs, HomePods). This works flawlessly too. Sadly, Samsung hasn’t fully jumped on the Matter bandwagon insofar as my Samsung devices don’t show up in the Home app as they *ought* to.

This is required for a smart switch 3 way setup. The smart switch is awesome. Now has Matter support and works with everyone. Built and designed for decades of use.

If you have a light that is controlled by more than one switch this is the switch you need for the remote location.

Leviton is my goto for switches and receptacles in my home and smart switches are no exception. I needed this companion switch to match with a D215S smart switch in a 3-way switch at two locations. I called in to Leviton support to confirm that it would work, this is the other great thing about Leviton, the support is solid and accessible VIA phone. I am an electrician and often I want to confirm what I am reading in the instructions when installing these switches since they are new to me. I have always gotten the answers that I needed for a successful installation. So you’re not just buying a product you’re also getting great support with it as well.

This is the add on switch to go with the main one to make it a 3 or 4 way control. Yes this is more expensive than all the basic wireless home light control switches, but I tried several other brands and they are not reliable for schedule control. Problem with the other brands is the App or web server has to try to trigger the light switch at the time you set. But this wonderful Leviton switch has memory in it that keeps your schedule in the light switch. That means it always knows when to turn the lights on and off and doesn't need a constant perfect wireless connection. I installed this with the master switch and one other coordinating one like this one for a 4-way setup. And it works great.

I used this in a 3-Way installation with the Leviton D215S-2RW and mocked it up on a piece of plywood to assure it would work in a retrofit installation of an existing dumb 3-way. See attached pic for how to wire. Alexa works great. The DD0SR-1Z does not require a battery. Also note that the wiring pic shows how to do it with the line voltage on the Leviton D215S-2RW and load switching on the DD0SR-1Z. There is a 'tube video on this as well. Cheers!

This is a need with using Leviton light switches. They are high quality and work as intended. Just wish it had a indicator light on them light the main smart switches that they are paired with.

These switches are very easy to install in a 3 way application as they DO NOT require a 4 wire connection between the mate and master switch. You only need a neutral, communication (traveller), and ground at the mate end. They also do not have the LED indicators lights that you cannot turn off. I don't care for all the LED indicator lights being on, all the time, even when lights are out. Works perfectly for my preferences and love this switch. Way easier to install than the dimmer switch and dimmer mate switch which DOES require 4 wires between both switches.

This is the companion switch to work with the BZ15S-1BZ switch if you have a three-way configuration. It requires a neutral, but if you have 3 wires to the switch and the neutral is in the other switch box where you are placing the BZ15S-1BZ switch then it will work just fine. Just follow the wiring diagram that comes with the BZ15S-1BZ and this switch and it will work for you just as designed.
