Other light pads are double or up to four times the price! This one gets the job done and at less than $20 what more could you ask for. It has 3 brightness levels. You will want to use the highest one for film scanning. Use a tripod and a macro lens to take pictures of each negative. Open them in Lightroom and convert them with Negative Lab Pro.

This item is exactly as described. The brightness settings are great for different papers. The one in the photo is pretty thick and you can still see through for tracing. Lightweight design makes it easy to take with you should you wish to. You will need a USB adapter to plug it in for electricity or use your computer as it only comes with a cable, like the description says. Neat tool for tracing, paper and fabric.

I only use this lightboard for backlight during diamond painting, but it works as expected and helps the strain on my eyes from only lighting above. I do find the plug gets in the way a bit, especially since I have it positioned on the right side of the table, and the plug then has to face right to clear my workspace, so therefore the power button ends up under my hand sometimes and gets clicked at random moments. Small inconvenience though.I personally would rather have it always powered than to remember to charge it for the convenience of wireless use. It has three light settings, but the lowest works fine for me. My kid used it once to trace a picture and she had a blast.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I’m extremely happy with it! I normally get headaches with a back light as I’m doing my paint by diamonds, I didn’t even get the beginning of a headache. The lighting is adjustable, I put up a video on the different light settings. Super easy to use and it didn’t get hot on my lap. It’s the perfect size for using on a lap. It is a huge game changer for trying to see what I’m doing.

I took my time to work with the light box to write this review because I wanted to be sure that the light box works properly. So far I am very happy with this one. It is been about two weeks that I am working with it drawing and sometimes I just used when I need to light something in my desk (my desk lamp is broken. I need to reemplace the light bulb but I am being to lazy to go to the store and get it) but that is not the point.nThe light box also works to illuminated the products when I need to take simple pictures. I am being kind of recursive with it and using it for almost everything.So far, the connection plug is working perfectly and the cable does not look cheep. (Neither the light box)I like it and I will be buying another one for my brother as a birthday gift!

I have been needing a new light board since my old light box died. What I adore about this one is that you can use magnets to keep your paper in place. It comes with two magnets, but I use 4 tiny rare earth magnets to keep my paper(s) in place. The three brightness levels perfect, with the brightest even able to clearly show an image through 120# watercolor paper. I use it with an external battery, easily giving me hours of use off one charge. A must for any artist that works out and about.

Everything work great, it’s very light and durable. The red magnet it came with works fine. Although, I thought that there would be two magnets. Either way, still a great product. I’m buying another for my niece.

I bought this after watching a YouTube video of someone using a tracing light to help decorate their shirts. It looked like fun so I bought this (haven't decided if it'll be a big enough hobby to invest in screen printing or a heat press so I figured I would do this). Anyway, I love it. It isn't heavy and the magnets definitely help keep the design and even the shirt I was tracing on in place. I also think it'll be a fun thing to let my nieces and nephews to use when they visit!

Easy setup, just plug it into a usb port for power and touch the on button to cycle between the 3 brightness levels. Its actually bright enough that I can even trace onto 140 lb watercolor paper which is a game changer for me, that was an unexpected bonus. Well worth the money! (Dark paper in photo is super thick watercolor paper)

The light box is exactly what I wanted. Came quickly and very light weight. The only strange thing is that the box inside the Amazon box had this gloopy stuff spilled on it that turned out to be apple filling. But that was probably an issue with Amazon's packing not the seller. Maybe a plastic bag over the product box would be a good idea. The sauce didn't touch the product so wasn't a problem just weird and alittle gross but also funny.

In viewing our family's 35mm transparencies, I was using an inherited light box. This unit provides so much more and at a very reasonable price. The light control is about 1 cm in size and conveniently set on the border. It provides 3 levels of brightness and the spread of illumination is consistent across the whole screen (side to side and top to bottom; no streaks or dim places). The image provided here shows an inkjet graphic printed on 28lb paper with the light set at middle brightness. The two magnets are strong in holding paper to the screen and can be placed anywhere on the border or screen. The top and one side have clear markings numbered in centimetres (and sub-divided into millimetres). Because it is powered through a USB connection, it can be connected to a 120v outlet with a common adapter/wall charger (not supplied) or by plugging into a computer's USB outlet. Lightweight, portable, easily stored, versatile; this is so much better than what I had been using.

This was purchased as a gift for me, mainly to be used to trace objects for applique quilting techniques. For my use, I will either plug the unit into a battery pack, or plug the USB cable into an adapter for a wall outlet. The lack of a battery within the unit keeps it thin and lightweight, and is preferred for my applications. I appreciate that the surface is magnetic; this will help me to keep my work from moving. The three light settings are also a very useful feature.

I love that this is magnetic, that it has rulers on the sides, and that it has a few different brightness settings. The only thing I have negative is that it randomly turns on while not in use, if plugged in, and also while I am working on it it will randomly shut off... Not sure why! So I just make sure to unplug when I am done. It says it has 3 year warranty so I am going to try get a new one as I believe mine is defective.
