Spent a lot of time and money looking for a way to help me sleep. Short description, for the last 10 years I’ve been a “volcanically hot sleeper”, picture sleeping next to someone who feels like they just finished a marathon. I agree it was nasty so, Stumbled upon this little gem. Watched promo video and was like that’s me. Then I started reading the reviews, and even though I had already placed my order I was considering canceling based on the 1 month in people started having issues. I’ve owned mine 1 month running it at least 9 hours a day in the 50’s and it works great. I think some of the issue people where having have to do with how they maintained their units. Every week or every other week I change the water out of the units which typically helps with any cooling issues. I can’t really explain it other than after a week or 2 the machine will struggle to achieve temp so that’s when I dump the water out and refill it. You’re also supposed to clean it monthly so that could explain some of the other negative reviews. I did have an issue with one of the units not pumping water when I first got it but I lifted the machine above the bed and a syphoning effect fixed the issue with no noticeable issue after. As an average sized American male, I do notice the water lines but they don’t bother me, lines run from head to toe with 8-10” spacing, it’s actually better than I would have expected for comfort. Machines make noise but noise is negligible. My fan running in the other room is often louder. If you like absolutely silence do not buy. Wish remotes showed actual temp with set temp. Update:12/15/21 through the course of changing sheets I’m pad started to develop a leak. I reached out to chili and with in 2 days someone emailed me verified me and walked me through the warranty claim. I was honestly dreading the response, but nope chili made the process super easy, super painless, and if anything has made me a life long customer. You just don’t see customer service that good at this time of year in this kind of market. Two thumbs up to Mary the ‘sweet dreamer’ specialist who helped me. I could see how someone who is buying this product for luxury may find flaws but if your genuinely are looking for a reputable company with an affordable sleep climate control system because you just sleep too hot or cold, this is the product for you. I love it and I think any reasonable person would, unless you have a manufacturing issue which happen inwhich case talk to their customer service it’s easy and they take care of you.

This is a great device in theory and it does work, but I decided to return it anyway for the following reasons: 1) Cooling performance is highly dependent on the water level in the cube While the cube does have an indicator light when the water level is low, the cooling performance degrades as the water inside evaporates. This means that in order to get consistent performance (ie 65F always feels the same), you need to refill the cube every night before you go to bed. On the first night, 55F felt like the grim reaper was stealing my soul through my sheets. By night 3 without a refill, 55F was comparable to 68F on a full tank. IMO, there should be a second, clear cube where you fill the water, so that you can see when the water level is low and the cube would always work at full efficiency. The cube used about half a gallon of distilled water per week, so you'll need to include a few jugs of distilled water on your grocery shopping list. 2) Cooling performance is highly dependent on the air temperature in the room Don't expect to save money on air conditioning. The cubes produce a lot of heat, and it can only cool the water about 10-15 degrees F below room temperature. To be fair, it's impossible not to produce heat when conditioning water (thanks thermodynamics!). An optional window hot air exhaust could help. 3) Doesn't improve my sleep overall The cool sensation is nice when I climb into bed, but after a few minutes my body adjusts to the coolness. If you turn the cube up too high, you'll wake up in the night very cold, although too lethargic to do anything about it. It took me about the same amount of time to fall asleep and woke me up multiple times at night when I set it too cold. The ability to program the cube to adjust the temperature based on how many hours it's been operating could help with this (super chilly when I get in bed, mildly chilly after I'm asleep would be great) 4) It's too expensive given the shortcomings and overall effectiveness I find it just as effective to simply lie in bed uncovered with the air conditioner blowing directly on me, then getting under the covers once I feel too cold. For $300 queen I'd keep the chilipad, but at $1100 after tax it's hard to justify for me.

The Cube's expel heat from their sides when they are running. The lower the temperature the more heat will come out of them. I woke up this morning to a room that was 85 degrees. That was 10 degrees higher than the rest of the house. This completely defeats the purpose of owning this. Even worse is that the warmer the room gets, the less cool my bed gets because the ambient temperature goes up. I tried sleeping with the door open and still had the same issue. So if you have a relatively small room, I wouldn't buy this. I'm probably going to have to send it back. EDIT: I'm sending it back. Unfortunately we couldn't solve the heat problem. So it's going back. Their technical support agreed that we shouldn't use it in a small room...and I did ask around and others seem to not have the same issue, and was thinking of just trying a replacement, but at the time I did the RMA, they weren't in stock, so I got a Perfect Sleep Pad instead. It's quieter and has more features. It also doesn't heat up my room. So I'm going to stick with that option instead. Just beware if you're using this in a small room. Heat comes out of two of the corners and it will raise your room temperature if you don't have enough ventilation. You might try the Perfect Sleep Pad instead since it works just as well, is cheaper and doesn't heat up like the Chilipad does. It's also a lot quieter with more timer options.

The items was easy to set up and use. We bought the We Chili pad for a queen. Around the 3rd night I noticed my side was not cooling and I look at the cube and notice water light is on. I put more water set my temp and go to sleep. I wake up and my foot was extremely cold while the rest of my body was just neutral. The Pad was leaking near at the initial junction where the big hose meets connector that converts it to smaller cheap hose. It worked while it worked, the cost to entry is steep. It was a shot and it didn't pan out. If you get one that works more then 3 days then maybe it's worth it. I wouldn't recommend to my friends or family to buy this product. It's sad that all this money put into pad feeling good, Cube cooling or heating and then use such a cheap tube in the actual product. Seems to be common problem from reviews I have read.

This does exactly what it says on the box. The pad gets cold, or it gets hot depending on what you set it at. I normally leave it on max cool all night as I get VERY hot while sleeping so I cant really speak to how well it maintains a set temperature. It does get quite toasty as well, came in clutch when the second COVID shot hit me like a freight train. It works best when used with a blanket as it keeps the cool or hot in. BE CAUTIOUS OF THE DEW POINT IN YOUR ROOM, IF LEFT RUNNING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME ON MAX IT CAN DROP THE PAD BELOW THE DEW POINT CAUSING WATER TO CONDENSE ON THE COOLING LINES.
