Pack of 6 Brita Style Replacement Filters

I like the taste of my water with these filters. You would think water wouldn't taste any better, but it does. At least I think so.

I love how the water tastes from this filter. I have yet to test the PH but I don't have acid reflux anywhere near as bad as I used to. The only thing I am not entirely a fan of is how slow it filters. It takes as long as a plugged Brita but maybe I didn't soak or rinse the filter long enough when new. I have seen that before with a different brand of alkaline filter. The trick is to just keep your pitcher topped up a lot and you won't really notice the problem as much.

First of all I always check the alkalinity of a new filter when I replace them and the first one of these only registered a 7. Others I’ve gotten started at 9. I followed instructions to filter several pitchers through before drinking (I did it till I didn’t see black seeping into the filtered water.) and still the water tastes terrible. I haven’t gone through every filter of course, but I shouldn’t have to.

As the filter gets older, it begins to release a black residue. I will not buy again.
