How long does this last until it stops functioning or working?

Fwiw it has still lasted me and I’ve had it for a year/2 years now. I wipe the prongs because they get dirty. I do need to recharge about every 5 uses. But it works the same as when I got it.

I don’t know but it’s a rechargeable lighter with a thin wire that lights up that makes the heat

Can someone tell me since this doesn't have a flame can it light an outdoor gas grill?

I haven't tried it in an outdoor grill, but I don't see why not. The "flame" is an electric arc, so it should ignite the gas all the same.
