Precision, craftsmanship, and razor-sharp results — this kit is in a league of its own.
If you're serious about keeping your knives in peak condition, this sharpening stone kit is a game-changer. I bought it after struggling with dull blades and mediocre sharpeners, and I can confidently say — this is the best sharpening system I’ve ever used. The stones are beautifully crafted and feel premium right out of the box. Follow the directions, take your time, and you’ll be rewarded with an edge so sharp it glides through food like butter. It’s not just functional — it’s satisfying to use. The process is smooth, meditative even, and the results are professional-grade. What I love most is the attention to detail: the non-slip base, angle guide, and thoughtful packaging make it clear that this isn’t just a product — it’s a tool built for excellence. Whether you're a home cook or a culinary enthusiast, this kit will elevate your kitchen game. Sharpness, quality, and value all wrapped into one outstanding set. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their knives performing at their absolute best.

Precision tool sharpening at its best
If you’ve ever tried slicing a tomato with a dull knife and ended up with more of a tomato smear than a slice, this KERYE Knife Sharpening Stone Kit is your redemption arc. Right out of the box, it feels like you’ve joined an elite sharpening dojo. You get four grit levels—400/1000 for the heavy lifting, and 3000/8000 for that silky, sushi-chef finish. The stones are hefty, high-quality, and sit snugly in a non-slip wooden base that doesn’t dance around your counter like a caffeinated squirrel. The angle guide is a lifesaver for beginners (or anyone who’s ever tried to “eyeball it” and ended up with a butter knife). The leather strop and flattening stone are thoughtful touches that take your edge from “meh” to “razor-sharp and ready to julienne anything in sight.” Bonus points for the cut-resistant glove—because nothing ruins a sharpening session like a surprise trip to urgent care. It does take a little patience and practice, but once you get the rhythm down, it’s oddly satisfying. Like zen gardening, but with knives. Bottom line: this kit turns your kitchen blades into precision tools and makes you feel like a culinary samurai. Five stars, no question.

I'd recommend it
Overall a very good set. I was looking for a knife sharpening set for my knives as many are more worn than I'd like and I plan to go camping with a couple soon. I used this to sharpen a couple stainless steel fixed blades and a stainless steel jackknife. As mentioned, my knives were dull and would more-so rip through paper instead of cutting it. After sharpening my knives with these whetstones, my knives were able to actually cut instead of rip. I followed the basic rule of doubling the amount of strokes with every change of the stone (10 for medium, 20 for fine, 40 for stropping) and I used water instead of oil. I did not use the included gloves as I felt it unnecessary. I also didn't use the included angle guide as I was sharpening Scandinavian grind knives and just followed the grind. The stropping belt has a nice "handle" on it to grab onto so you're able to get a taught belt. My only issue with the stones is that on a couple is the logo for the company printed on there. This creates a smooth area on the stone that has to be smoothed down before use otherwise you are left with a small area to actually sharpen the knife on. I would've preferred if the logo was printed on the side instead of on top. Pros: Actually sharpens knives Can be used by beginners (I'd recommend doing research first) Multiple grit levels to reset or hone knives Silicone holders prevent intense movement Holder allows for use in many areas to maintain a level grind Cons: Logo must be removed before use (or just work around it) Made in Japan so English instructions are basically useless Angle guide doesn't fit smaller knives (meant for kitchen knives)

This kit is amazing and the stones work very well.
So, to be clear that plastic angle keeper thing is a hazard to you. I threw it away and to also be clear been sharpening knives since young teenager by hand. The really fine stones are less prone to wear unevenly, but the course ones be careful to apply light pleasure especially if there is a good edge. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a cheap 100/200 grit for edge reprofiling. Reason is the course stones in this kit though capable of reprofiling an edge, takes a while and will wear unevenly. So the pro is the cool little mount to hold your stone, but it will eventually move on you. The other is the re-shaping stone which does work well. I found using it every 20-30 stokes was how often I needed it. This kit is well worth the money and the best I have had in all my years. The hype around who makes the stones not sure about. My one piece of advice is to use this kit to sharpen and not reprofile an edge. Good new stone size is similar enough to common stones such as cheap stone mentioned above you can expand what you use with the bamboo block. Maybe find a way to secure it better, my plan is a station to have for tasks like this.

Very nice packaging and all components are properly stored inside. The manual is only including basic details for sharpening the knife using the stones. No info regarding the leather strop. :( Another thing which is not mentioned anywhere is that is" Originated from Sakai, Japan, Designed in New York, US, Made in China" . And the 3000 grit stone came with a small chip on the corner, even if it was well protected. Missing part was not in the bag, which means that it was wrapped chipped. Those 2 are the reasons for 4 stars. I will use it and ther update the review if needed.
