Lego Make & Create Café Corner

I am the father of twin 11 year old boys and I have been purchasing Legos for them since they were about 3 or 4. My boys get along very well and share the building responsibilities. To this day I have never had to help them build a set and they have built every set they have ever received. I have always been impressed with how well diagramed the sets were and when my boys got started with Legos they could build them even though they didn't know how to read. I am not sure how much the twin thing helped since they each had someone to share the building excitement with and create adventures. There was also the added bonus of having 2 different perspectives to figure out some of the tougher builds.The Café' Corner was on their list for some time and was a big hit this Christmas along with the Green Grocer and Market streets. The details are incredible and well worth the purchase.Legos require patience and if started early enough, perhaps help develop patience, I'm not sure. I have been very pleased with the quality of the pieces and how well they stay together as well as the wonderful imagination that went into creating each model.Legos have come along way since I was a kid and this is the toy that my boys will keep into their adult lives and pass on to their kids.Additionally, Lego has produced a number of wonderful PC games that were both entertaining and also helped give them ideas for actual role playing with the real sets.Keep up the good work!

It will take some patience and time to put this together. But is is a good time, especially if you don't try to rush it. My 12-year-old son and I are having a blast putting this together. Neither of us are full fledged Lego hobbyists, but both of us enjoy the concepts and quality of good Lego kits.The building assembles in three major sections, each corresponding to one floor of the three-story structure. The parts bags are labelled with their section numbers, do you don't have to mix the parts together for all three sections while you are building it, saving a lot of part-searching time (but never fear, the high number of pieces in each section means you will still spend plenty of quality time hunting for elements).This kit makes fantastic use of basic Legos and has virtually no large pieces that are overspecialized, making the kit far more flexible to rebuild into other types of assemblies. For instance, the large white fan-shaped sunburst decoration over the main door is composed of a number of small Lego "ski" pieces using a creative way to link them together. The creative construction techniques in this kit encourage you to think of new ways of using Lego bricks that will help you design your own creations if you are so inclined.This kit was definitely worth the price we paid at Amazon, although you should be aware that some third party Amazon sellers try to charge far more that list price for it. To look up the list price for this (or any other) Lego set, I recommend you seek out dedicated Lego sites like Lugnet or Brickset.One note: this kit is inapproriate for very young Lego builders based on the sheer size and the number of different building techniques they would have to use to assemble this kit correctly, unless an adult could sit with them and work through it with them. My 12-year-old could easily do it by himself, but my 7-year-old would lack the patience.

After getting the amazing complementary set, the Green Grocer, I immediately sought the Cafe Corner out and I sure am glad I did. The price at Amazon plus free shipping, is a great deal, compared to some of the ridiculous prices Lego speciality shops are asking for, given the exclusivity of the set.With over a 1000 pieces, the build is especially satisfying, much like laying the bricks and features of an actual building. In comparison to the Green Grocer, the Cafe Corner lacks an interior, which serves as an exciting side project planning for one. The ace of this set is definitely the design of the architecture and is amazing when displayed.I believe that these sets will go down in Lego and the Lego collector's history as two of most sought-after building sets. So get them while it's still available. You'll kick yourself for not doing so.

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this Lego set. The beauty of the finished product, the sturdy construction, the far beyond clever use of standard parts to achieve amazing realism (the awnings, the 45 degree angled door, etc). I have been building Lego since before the mini-figure was created, and I have to say that many recent sets offer little substance in favor of tall, flimsy structures that give the appearance of volume. This set is the opposite! Everything is solid, detailed, and built with real bricks you can actually re-use! My hat is off to the designer of this set, it is just a thing of beauty and a joy to build. Keep 'em coming!

I purchased this for my 12 year old son and he absolutely adores it. He built it for a school project, but it now resides at home. I realize it is pricey but Legos are forever and the final product was amazing.

I bought this for my husband but my son who is age 6 and a HUGE Lego fanatic was even more excited about it. The whole family was able to work on it together over the course of a few days. It provided great family fun time that everyone could enjoy. Now the argument is whether to put in on a shelf to keep it safe or get it down to play with it. My husband and I have discovered a whole new appreciation for Legos in general through the eyes of our children. Now we want to add to the collection with the fire station and green grocer.

on est saisi par l'architecture du bâtiment; le designer a bien travaillé, j'aimerai le féliciteron entre par le rez de chaussée mais il manque le zinc dans ce café!un bar sans comptoir et sans table n'est pas tres accueillant alors je l'ai meublé moi-même. J'ai aussi fait des cloisons dans les étages pour faire des chambres que j'ai aussi meubléesvoila c'est tout pour moi je suis très satisfait de mon achat même s'il est un peu cher.

盆休みにゆっくりと組立ようと考えていたのですが、届いてから待ちきれずに組立てしまいました。期間は大人で１０時間です。１階、２階、３階、屋上と組立てていきます。説明書通りに組立れば、悩むことはありません。１階のひさし（白と黄色の）は角度調節も可能です。また、下より上が膨らむ部分もあり、組立ながら構造に感心する部分もあり没頭して制作しました。残念なのはいくつか部品が足りなかったこと。ホテルの看板は一部白色のブロックが足りなかったし、１階のオープンのテーブル用の椅子もありませんでした。機能部品や壁などに不足はありませんでした。でも、家にある別の部品を組み合わせたりするのもレゴの楽しみだと割り切りました。海外ではこのホテルの横に建てる、別の商品も既にある模様ですので、日本でも早く売って欲しいです。お勧めします。

Für Lego ist man nie zu alt, viele stehen sich nur selbst im Weg wenn Sie dies behaupten, denn mal ehrlich haben Sie nicht auch manchmal Lust wie in alten Kindertagen zu bauen, was man sich wahrscheinlich niemals leisten kann. Traumhäuser, ganze Städte, Autos, Flugzeuge, Raumschiffe, etc... Einfach Spaß für die GANZE Familie.Soviel zu mir, aber nun zum Produkt:Das "Neue" Lego hat mich sehr überrascht. Die Bauart ist anders als ich es von früher kannte. Es gibt Fertigteile die eingesetzt werden und viele flache kleine Elemente, diese kleinen flachen 2er (3= Höhe eines Legosteines) usw. Es gibt viele Elemente, die ich noch nicht kannte um z. B. Senkrecht anzubauen.Vorteil von Lego finde ich, daß man es auch Platzsparend verstauen kann und mit vorhandenem Material immer wieder was neues bauen kann.Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß beim Bauen. Der Preis ist krass, könnte Kundenfreundlicher sein, aber das Ergebnis ist wirklich der Hammer. Ich bin gespannt ob weitere Häuser in der City-Serie folgen werden.

スペイン旅行中に、マドリッドのデパートで発見して一目惚れしてしまいました！昔の原色のレゴらしくはないですが、ヨーロッパの街角にあるカフェの雰囲気がよく出ていて、とても素敵です。こんなシリーズで、大人のレゴの街を作ってみたい！と思わずにはいられなくなってしまいました。旅の思い出にもぜひどうぞ。
