fast switch to battery mode (no latency)
As soon as you receive the UPS, you have to charge the battery without connecting any load: after 24h it will be ready for use (that's what manual says).First impressions after 3 days of use:This UPS does its job, it has a fast switch to battery mode (no latency): I repeatedly tested the unit by unplugging it from the wall, and the computer remained on without any interruption . The UPS app (available from website) is actually very useful: it allows you to control various settings on the unit, such as enabling or disabling the audible alarm, monitoring the charge percentage / estimated runtime, and, most importantly, automatically shutting down the computer before the battery is fully depleted. The app is available for both Windows and Linux (no macOS support). I use this UPS to protect two computers. According to the monitoring software, I'm using about 50% of the available power. In the event of an extended power outage, my battery charge is estimated to last around 16 minutes. My only concern is battery lifespan: how long will it last? Months? Years? Time will tell. Note: the replacement battery costs about $70, which is roughly the same as buying a whole new unit.I bought this UPS backup to protect my computers from sudden outages (flickering) of the electrical network, and it works. However, if you need more protection (such as prolonged blackouts), you’ll need a higher performance model with larger batteries.

Solid Backup Power – Just Didn’t Work for Our Pellet Stove
This APC UPS is a well-built and reliable backup power source with some great features. It’s compact, easy to set up, and provides a solid 600VA/300W of backup, which is perfect for keeping essential devices running during power outages. I really like the added surge protection, and the peace of mind it brings for sensitive electronics like our router. We initially purchased it to power our pellet stove during outages, but after setting it up, we realized the stove isn’t compatible with this type of UPS. It’s important to note that this unit doesn’t provide pure sine wave power, which some super-sensitive electronics (like pellet stoves or medical equipment) may require. Even though it didn’t fit that specific need, it’s been working flawlessly for our router, keeping us online when the power flickers or goes out.Overall, it’s a great little unit that serves its purpose well – just be sure to double-check compatibility if you're planning to use it for larger appliances. For smaller electronics and home networking, it’s been a dependable addition to our setup!

good low-cost basic UPS
Pros:Easy to replace batteryUSB monitoringUSB charging port that works off battery or utility powerWall-mountable (though screw keyholes are 213 mm or 8.39" apart, not sure where they got this odd dimension)Entry-level costCons:No LCD displayNo mute buttonI'm not crazy about this form factorBattery is expensiveI have two of these. They don't have huge capacity so they won't run anything with a lot of power draw for very long, but if you want surge protection and a computer or other device to not instant-off with a 2-second interruption in power, these work great. There is an easy-to-access, toolless battery compartment though a replacement battery is more than half the cost of the unit, which is not typical. It has a USB-A charging port and a USB-B port to plug into a computer (it comes with a cable) to monitor the power status. I'm not crazy about this form factor and it doesn't have an LCD screen or mute button (it only has one button) so you have to refer to the manual for the color and blink pattern to determine what it's telling you and will need monitoring software to know what the load and available battery power are. It's a good entry-level UPS.

Easy to use, reasonable price, good for all the bits and bobs in my office
I got a gaming rig and needed a separate UPS for all the bits on bobs I had to put on a different circuit because of power requirements. So all the things other than the PC, the monitor, printer, my phone charger are all plugged into this UPS on that different circuit. You do have to hook up the battery, but that is simple. It was a bit fiddly when I tried to get it to power up initially but ultimately it did. So far so good.

Good item
Works well. Fried mine due to spikes in the power, but hey that is the reason we have those. Cheaper to replace these than a computer that cost easily 1000$ Would buy again. Btw the utility provider was the reason it fried.

Great battery backup
After trying a cheaper brand, I’ve returned to APC—and I’m glad I did. This unit performs exactly as expected. It's great for protecting a PC. While it won’t keep everything running all day, it provides enough backup power for short outages. I also appreciate the USB connection, which allows it to communicate with the PC and initiate a safe shutdown when the battery runs low.

Peace of mind...
This surge protector with a built-in backup battery works wonderfully, and I am honestly impressed by how much peace of mind it provides. In the past, whenever we experienced a sudden power outage or even just a circuit breaker trip, I would instantly panic about my computer shutting down in the middle of something important. Now, I do not worry at all. The unit automatically kicks in, keeping my computer, router, and Wi-Fi system running smoothly without interruption. Everything stays online, which means no lost work, no dropped connections, and no unnecessary stress. It is an incredibly reliable upgrade.
