Review: I bought this book for a university course in physics. It is available legitimately online for free (it is an OpenStax textbook), but I thought that it would be more convenient to read from a hardcopy text. The hardcopy text that I received is three years old (copyright is 2018). The hardcopy text is black and white, but the online text is in color. Color is used extensively in the online text for the presentation of graphs and the graphs become indecipherable when presented in black and white. Also there are fundamental errors in the hardcopy text which have subsequently been corrected in the online version. I even found that some of the chapter questions are different in the online versus hardcopy text. Overall I made a big mistake in purchasing this outdated and unauthentic textbook. I bought this book for a university course in physics. I've been finding this textbook very helpful for my introductory college physics course. The derivations and images are great and there are a lot of useful problems to study with. However, before buying this, you should know that it is an open source textbook that is available online so you don't need it if you don't want a physical copy.
