Is it something for a 6 yr old to play with?

It's a very cheaply made so it's not an actual weapon. It's no more dangerous than the folding lightsabers that they sell. Granted, you could put an eye out on anything whether it's stuff in the dishwasher or a living room lamp. I bought this as a Halloween prop and even though I do not have kids I would consider this a toy. I don't know what 6 year olds do, but this flimsy thing seems entirely safe to me. if you get it I would watch your kid with it for a while to make sure.
