Bondhus makes excellent tools in America. This is a great tool to have at home & I would highly recommend this set. Metric is used on bicycles & cars today. The ball comes in handy for odd angles.

These are high-quality hex wrenches, they stand up to breaking loose rusted bolts no problem.The steel is much harder/stiffer than cheaper wrenches, so they transmit torque better, and don't strip out as easily.Having harder steel does mean the ball can snap off if you put a breaker bar on it, but you really shouldn't use the ball end for that anyway...I've ordered several sets of these, not because they break, but because they keep getting "borrowed" since they are so much better than the big box store brands.

I used these to install an Ibera bike rack onto a Giant Escape 3, and then two wire baskets onto that rack. The ball ends are very convenient due to how much freedom they give you to turn hex bolts at angles that aren't just dead-on straight - it actually would not have been possible for me to install the wire baskets onto my rack properly without the ball ends, because even the shorter arm of the "L" of these allen wrenches was too long to fit into a specific awkward little spot at an exact 90 degree angle, but I was able to make do by instead using the ball ends at an angle.Also, the wrenches all lock into the supplied case by turning them like a key - when they're all neatly aligned like in the product pictures, they won't move, but if you just turn them a little bit, they slide out easily. That and the ball ends might both be standard features on allen wrench sets for all I know, but either way they're both still very helpful features.

Use them every day at work doing maintenance on factory machines. No problems with them yet

I use metric fasteners almost exclusively at work and have been buying Bondhus for decades.My only small peeve is when they are brand new, the HOLDER is a bit tight. It takes a little effort to remove the hex keys. This gets better after a few months use, and the hex keys are easier to take out and insert in the holder after it wears a bit.

Bought this set of a hex keys, almost 10 years ago. They are well crafted and built to last.
