Lonely Planet always provides cultural and historical information that enriches the travel experience

India is so rich in culture and beauty, a traveller like myself may not know where to start. I purchase this book to do research and everything that you need to know about India as a traveller is written here. I highly recommend to anybody who is planning a trip to India.

The book is way too heavy to travel with, so we tore out the pages we needed and took those with us. It has a good overview, but any travel book is going to come up short with such a vast country like India! For me, it was "good enough."

I'm planning a trip so I needed this book. It came fast and professionally sent .

This book was great but both times it showed up like it had been put through a dryer. Pages torn, creased and not new!

India is too big to fit into a single book. There are better lonely planet guides out there. Better to break your trip down into smaller sections and go deeper in your research for a better outcome.

Identical to the 2017 model I bought, even down to the same number of pages. The editors state that all businesses mentioned in this book were checked to see if they were still in business, but other reviewers who have used this book in India say that many of the listings in this book have closed.

Gave this as a gift. Did not notice it was USED. The cover was torn and taped, there was highlighting on the text and dog-eared pages. So embarassing!
