I was having trouble with my computer overheating because using it directly on my lap was blocking the air vents. This lap desk saved the day by keeping the vents clear. Having the push out mouse tray (which will push to either side) is an added benefit. This tray did exactly what I needed and I am pleased. I have a 15" monitor on my laptop and use it for video editing so it gets hot. this tray fits my computer well and does what I need. Before you order make sure to check dimensions in case your computer is larger than mine is.

This is my TRIED AND TRUE!! So compact and easy to travel with. I work from MANY places and having this in my bag is my go-to. Love that it keeps my laptop stable from slipping, and the mouse pad feature is clutch. HIGHLY recommended for anyone who works on the go!!

Overall its exactly what I was looking for. I work remote and go into town once a week just to get out of the house and work in a coffee shop. Sometimes I can't always find a spot with a table, just a comfy chair. Resting the laptop on my legs starts to dig in and get really hot. I needed a flat surface across my lap that can 1) keep the heat down 2) make my legs feel better 3) and something portable to keep in my pack for wherever I go. The only thing I wish was different is the plastic bottom! Now my legs get cold and sticky. I think an easy workaround is to keep a small pillowcase in my pack for my lap or I will sew something custom to slip on over the pad. I don't use a mouse so the slideout is just meh for me since I won't use it, but maybe i'll keep my phone there or something. I wouldn't consider this pad "lightweight" but it's better compared to most. Overall a good purchase for the price.

AWESOME DOOD! Small, stury, MOUSEPAD! Easy to fit right in your bag. Me and my daughter appreciate this item. The mouse pad comes out to the left OR the right :) she is left-handed. It is VERY important to use these items because you MUST NOT block the cooling ports in your laptop case or you will burn it up and toss it in the garbage. I kind of wish I could just permanently attach this to the laptop.

I bought this lap desk 2 years ago. To this day, it is the single most used travel companion for my laptop (along with my mouse of course). Even though I have a giant laptop, this compact little lap "desk" works just fine. It keeps the heat off my legs and enables me to use the mouse whenever I need it. The mouse pad can be shifted to either side to accomodate both left and right handed people. The size easily fits in my work backpack. Its sturdy but not too heavy. Love it and cant recommend it enough! Get it, you wont regret it!

Arrived on time. Easy to use. Easy to pack in my bag for work. I use it all the time at the hospital with different patients I go with. The mouse pad works great. Good value for my money. The size is right.
