I bought this because our air conditioner was always running and I figures I could find areas of the house that might be leaking the cool air. I quickly fell into a rabbit hole of fixes. It's very good at identifying areas that are not insulated in the ceiling. It also allowed me to identify a massive leak from my 2 air handlers, which were basically cooling my attic and crawl space. Other areas I found were leaks around every register in my house (leaking into the attic) and the weather stripping around 3 external doors. I replace weather stripping (easy), sealing and insulated air handler (fairly easy) and spray foam sealed all my registers (hard due to number and hiking around the attic.) Only mistake I made was falling thru my office ceiling as I was finishing, which extended this effort a couple of weeks in repairs and painting. I look forward to winter and seeing where else I might be bleeding energy. Take your time to get used to using this. there are a lot of settings for different situations. Once I got it dialed in, it was very easy to use.

I purchased this to hopefully assess my new ceiling for possible leaks after recent storms. The instructions on how to use the device were clear, but to be completely honest, I didn't really know what I was looking for at first. It does have a laser on it so you can pinpoint exactly what area you're looking at and the different colors reveal different temperatures. There is a legend off to the side of the screen to correlate to the different temperatures. I was able to clearly see the difference between my ceiling light versus other parts of my ceiling, but I quickly realized after a few minutes that I didn't quite know how to correctly locate a leak (long story short, I didn't have one). I think this is a great tool in the right hands. I believe that there is also a slot for some sort of memory card, but I did not use it myself.

It's very useful for me to trouble-shoot electronics. Shorted component lights up.

I bought this to find HVAC ducts that are not heating properly. It makes a difficult task super easy. On a hot or cold day you can easily see insulation and stud detail. In fact you can see where your fingerprints briefly touched the wall for several seconds. I viewed my old fuse box and found 2 hot circuits that were overloaded. The only downside is it does not hold a charge very well between uses.

Got this to see where all the heat and air in my house is going. It works GREAT for that. Apparently my house exists just to heat up and cool down everything except my living room. Also kids think it’s a toy and get mad when you tell them it’s worth more than all the paw patrol toys they own (it’s not those things are so expensive)

I was a little skeptical at first comparing this to other models. Very impressed with the performance of it! I can easily see air ducts through my walls when the ac is on. I wish it came with a zippered hard shell case, but the box that it came in has custom foam cut outs to keep it protected, so I am happy enough. I definitely don’t see a reason to spend twice as much for a Flir.

Incredible value for money. Seems to work just as well (sensitivity, display) as a much more expensive FLIR camera that I have. Resolution is as advertised and plenty good enough to know what you are looking at. I bought it when I was going to inspect a classic car, and my FLIR was elsewhere. Was delivered quickly. It was easy to see which cylinders were misfiring, their spark plugs were much cooler than the others. Also easy to check coolant temperature and circulation. I have not checked for accuracy, but it certainly gives plausible numbers, no reason to suspect a problem.

I had the FLIR One Pro for my iphone for a few days, was not a fan. Low resolution and terrible battery life. I found this guy and decided to give it a try and I am blown away with how good it is. Obviously the two devices I have used are very different, one attaches to a phone and the second doesn't, but the second is half the cost of the FLIR and easier to use. Its a thermal camera, it's easy to understand how to use. The cost was the key factor for me, this isn't new tech by any means so it's time for that to come down.

Die Kamera macht mir echt Freude , Guter Preis , gutes Bild ,alle Einstellungen die man braucht sind vorhanden . Die Kamera kam gut verpackt an,war sehr einfach in Betrieb zu nehmen . Akku aufladen und los geht es . Man HaT die Möglichkeit Bilder abzuspeichern was die Nacharbeit um einiges vereinfacht . Super Kamera für den Preis ,genau das was wir gesucht haben . Würde ich empfehlen und auch nochmal kaufen ..

I will be honest here, the FakeSpot app gave this product an incredibly low score of "F" for fake review content. But sold and fulfilled by Amazon, I felt protected from risk. For a casual user, this product is flawless. It comes with the battery installed and already charged. It includes a micro-SD already installed. It comes well-packed and is ready to use. There are two color schemes to choose from in the menu system, as well as white-hot and black-hot schemes. It has an option of dynamic hi/low points. There is a red laser which indicates in the real world identifies the centre "+" marker on the screen. I bought this for a child to play with, so I disabled the Class 2 laser in the menu options. The device has two IR sensors, a low temperature sensor and a high temperature sensor. The default mode is auto-flipping between these. The device makes a "thunk" sound and gives the impression it's being mistreated, before I recognized what it is doing. The auto-switching can be disabled in the settings. The full product manual is provided as a QR code in the quick-start guide. The manual suggests to install the mobile app - which is not usable because the camera does not have any wireless networking capability. That is the only error I've run into.

Just received it today and already checked every where in the house and in the attic. Received it in a nice box and the first thought was that it is well designed and quality product. I was not expecting that much from it. Then I found already some weak spot in the attic and corrected the problem. After a couple of hours rechecked with this gun and saw that my fix worked perfectly. This thing will pay by itself. I had figured out all the options before even reading the manual (yes there is one). If I knew that I could get this descent device before, I would have bought it long time ago. Definitively a product I would recommand.

Lo strumento è facile da usare, ha una buona sensibilità e adatto ad un uso semiprofessionale. La risoluzione non è altissima ma più che sufficiente per gli usi tipici di una termocamera: evidenziare punti caldi e freddi in una parete, ponti termici, dispersioni di calore, punti caldi in un circuito elettrico. La scala assoluta di temperatura è imprecisa, mostra circa 2 gradi meno di quanto effettivamente si misuri a contatto. Ma la scala relativa è buona, e la scala assoluta può essere corretta a posteriori. La scala di colori (4 palette disponibii) si adatta automaticamente al range di temperature osservato. L'utilizzo è intuitivo, ma il manuale va scaricato con un QR-code. Manca, e sarebbe utile, una protezione per la lente.
