My tailgate drops smoothly, lands softly.Instructions were easily followed: simple, clear and we'll documented with color pictures. Amazon said this wouldn't fit my 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I believe this is due to a bolt size change for the bottle cap opener which must be removed. I used my own tools, they are easier. 20 minute install. Error free. Works great!

I usually tend to not write reviews because it’s something I always forget to do. But I have to hand it to this company, they did an amazing job with this kit. It was very affordable, in my opinion, and was very easy to install! They give you every tool you’ll need, and provide a very well designed instruction manual with photos to help. Overall, this kit was a great experience to install and works very well. I was able to install it within less than 20 minutes, and as of now, is working very well. If I have any problems in the near future, I’ll make sure to let yall know. Absolutely amazing

I bought this to add to my F150. It was easy to install and it works perfectly. A previous truck already had a tailgate assist and I was so used to it being there. When I bought this truck I just let go of the tailgate and it slammed down, There was no way that I could be retrained, so I bought this and it is excellent.It is well made and worth the money.

The item was good, felt solid and easy to install. The instructions could be by better, but it is rather intuitive to install. The one thing that was obviously bad was they didn’t include the T-30 wrench to remove the bottle opener on the tail gate. I had to go to Home Depot and buy one. It was <$5, but then I could have bought the other highly rated device that may have had all of the tools advertised. So far, it seems to work well. I’d recommend this as long as you had a T-30 wrench.

Everything was there on time. Everything appears to be good quality. Parts all fit. Took about 15 minutes to install... Most of that time was me trying to find my 10 mm socket lol. It functions wonderfully. I would recommend to a friend.

“Your gas strut expert” my a$$Where do I even start. Besides the quality issues that make it almost completely ineffective, I’ll start with this.This will NOT FIT A 99-07 SUPER DUTY AS ITS ADVERTISED , there are factory rubber bump stops that prevent this kit from even working. That right there is enough to make it void and null.Now let’s talk about my experience before I realized it wouldn’t work. The tools provided do not work well at all and are sized slightly off and made like crap, Instructions would be completely unclear to anyone who hasn’t used a expansion nut, the size of the nuts on the expansion bolt is advertised as a 10mm wrench , it’s a damn 1/2 wrench.Let’s continue, when you get the expansion bolt mounted in the hole in the tailgate, you go to screw in the ball socket bolt and it just keeps spinning, never gets remotely tight. Then just in the two seconds I was messing with it, it already came loose. I’ve seen other reviews now talking about how these brackets just snap in half sometimes. Made like junk.Yes there’s more, even though both of your mounting points fail, can’t get tight, etc, I go to test this out and oh my god this shock actually squeaks loud enough to wake up my neighbors, sure maybe it needs to break in but it won’t work anyway because this kit IMPROPERLY ADVERTISED, and won’t even fit the truck when you go to close the tailgate.Long story short parts are terribly cheap, falsely advertised, tools provided don’t work. need to provide yours own tools, bolts doesn’t get tight, Bolts break, kit once installed won’t even work on truck. And screams louder than I think my my neighbors eardrums can handle about 50 feet away.Looks like everything wants to die.Avoid it like the plague, this kit is a complete failure for any 99-07 super duty truck.Junk. Waste of time and money. Do your research, look at the one star reviews, and think about buying American.

Customers should know this is an easy to install product at an affordable price. Ten minutes installed and all I needed was an Allen wrench which I already had, a flat tip screwdriver and done. The only thing the instructions left out was to make sure you connect the rod at the bottom first, then the top. Otherwise, you will not have room between the body and the gate to make them snap together. Will definitely show my co-workers this neat little gadget.

It was pretty easy to install and so far it works great! I open the tailgate on my F-150 and watch it slowly drop down. I would definitely buy it again.
