Environmental Technology 32016 Castin' Craft Fastcast Urethane Casting Resin, 16 oz

This product is amazing however I can’t use it for my project because it actually hardens “too” fast. When trying to pour a bunch of silicone molds at once the liquid begins to harden before I can get done pouring. I’ve managed only to get 11 poured before the liquid hardens and I didn’t want to make multiple batches. This is not a bad thing if you want to make a handful of small molds or a quick mold or a single large mold. Also, if using colored pigment powder to brush a silicone mold, the color will always come out pastel because of the white resin no matter what color you are using. Again, not a bad thing if that’s what you’re looking for and I knew that going in. You cannot mix pigment powder into the liquid either. It just dissolves. For the mixing time the instructions say 30 second in each cup but I mixed for 15 seconds max in one cup and 15 seconds in another cup and then poured quickly. I do live in a very hot humid climate so I’m sure this contributes to it hardening so fast. This stuff is amazing and comes out with awesome detail just not for me as far as quickness and true colors I need to produce.

I really like this stuff. I used it to make casts of silicone molds I made from some wood carvings I created. Small Santa Clause heads. I had used a casting material before but it was highly breakable if you dropped one of the castings. This stuff is unbreakable, still paintable and great for what I want. I will be ordering more of this.

This product is fabulous! I purchased a silicone ghost mold and went to town creating little ghosts for my Halloween table landscape and other decor. Making more to give to all my grandkids for Halloween. Put an eye screw in the top and hang the little ghosties from my Halloween tree. Dries white and hard within minutes. Love that about this product. Can't wait to try some Christmas snowflakes! Probably hang those from the ceiling. Also makes great white-based resin coasters - no need to put in white resin dye.

Expensive but perfect

I don't know if I got a bad batch... This resin captures details beautifully, however it gets ruined by the excessive amount of airbubbles. When I initially mixed both parts together, I didn't have any air bubbles. However, when the resin starts to turn white hundreds of air bubbles pop out of nonwhere, no matter how I mix it.
