I have installed dozens of these in my line of work. I have suggested problems with these devices and what I think should be fixed to make these better for clients and IT admins managing them remotely. But, all my requests have gone unanswered.I own an IT company so I have to deal with tech-support all the time. Heck, I am tech-support. It’s frustrating when you get a company that absolutely cares nothing about their product or their customers.With that being said, these devices are great! They solve a lot of problems and also create some.Since these devices broadcast and have open ports, you will most likely get people trying to hack your password consistently. You will have to have proper security measures in place for that. If there are certain things that you don’t understand how to set up, don’t expect tech-support to help you with that. They would rather just email you a link and get off the phone as quick as possible. There is if you can get a hold of tech-support. You may be on the phone for 30 minutes before it finally hangs up on you and you have to call back and start over again. If I didn’t like these devices so much, I might find another company that had better tech-support.
