Good quality heavy wooden set, was conscious that there are smaller versions out there but this is a full sized set, made of solid wood and comes in a carry case. A great game to play in the sun with a beer in hand. A rare game that is a hit with the whole family, kids love it and adults get competitive too.

We had a Viking day at school and played Kubb for the first time. I bought this set for the school, as it was in our budget and looked to be of good quality. I wasn't disappointed! The bag is a sturdy, heavy- duty, zipped one with handles. All of the wooden pieces are really well made, a decent size and weight and of a high quality, smooth finish. I am looking forward to the class using them on Monday. Instructions are included and will be laminated to protect them. Buy with confidence, they are worth the price.

The wood in this set is very good quality and is well finished i.e. all edges are sanded smooth. The set is well contained in a strong bag which makes it easy to carry and store

We took this game on a camping holiday, and it kept everyone amused. There is a good mixture of skill and luck that everyone can play without lots of practice. The instructions included on how to play the game are useless. The rules we used after watching a video on YouTube Setup - Set up a playing area "field" about 36 feet long and 15 feet wide using the four thin spikes - place an equal number of blocks on each baseline - The king is placed in the middle of the field Starting the game - Each team throws one baton as near the king as possible, and the closest starts Playing - Team 1 throw all six batons to knock down the other team's blocks - Any blocks knocked down are then thrown from the baseline by team 2 back into team 1 half - Team 1 stands the blocks up, and they are then in the field - Team 2 then throws all six batons; they must knock down any blocks in the field before they can knock down the baseline blocks Rules - If the king is knocked down before all the blocks of the other team, that team loses - Once you have blocks in your half of the field, you can throw from behind these rather than from the baseline - Once you have knocked down all the other team's blocks you can throw for the king, but only from the baseline. The game is won once the king is knocked down. - If a block lands on another block (leaning) you can make a tower of 2 blocks - If a block lands outside the field of play when thrown into the other team's half you have one more chance to get it in the field. The 2nd time it lands outside the field the other team can place the block anywhere in thier half of the field

Purchased as a gift... nice Kubb set, pieces all feel satisfyingly chunky. I'm sure most the sets available are pretty similar, but the decent quality carrybag was an excellent added touch here. Recipient was very happy.

Never heard of this before but always on the look out for something new to play at family gatherings. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to play which made the instructions that came with it easier to understand. This game has become a firm favourite, we've had male versus female, old versus young, family versus family matches and everyone has enjoyed it enormously. Our age range 7 to 70, brilliant for all.

This game is heavy duty. Comes in a canvas bag , so rays to take along. Its got good weight, solid wood. Easy fun game to play for all ages. Looks nice, well.made for price. Recommend.

Fun gift for people who you don't know what to buy them as a gift. Lots of fun. A great excuse to get outside and get some fresh air.

Long-term review here. I've been very pleased with this set. You get what you pay for. The cheapest sets use very soft wood that splinters easily. Sure, this is a pretty mid-range set, but they've held up over a few summers of light to moderate use with only a couple gouges and chips in the wood, but nobody has gotten any splinters and we still love playing it. Only downside, albeit trivial, is that the blue paint rubs off on other wood. Might come off on hands or clothing too with too much friction? Easily avoidable problem. Might suggest including a more durable card with the rules and the standard court dimensions or a piece of string with length markers to make setup faster.

The wooden blocks are solid and sanded smooth. They are heavy enough to stand up in the yard. Great outdoor game for adults and youth.
