Makita 763248-2 Keyless Drill Chuck 13mm

Previously bought a cheapo option for one third of the cost. Totally false economy as gears failed within a year. Am not a time traveler but guess this chuck will do a lot better than a cheap Chinese copy. Some Chinese stuff is well made. Not this. Totally rubbish.

Compatible with DHP481 drill. Shorter than original chuck (part 766015-4) by 18mm but is a perfectly acceptable alternative which works well for me. I actually prefer the chuck's diagonal knurling. Manufacturer's mark is Yukiwa which is same as original chuck.

Had to purchase this for my dad as his original drill chuck was no longer working, great replacement product which arrived way before we expected it to which was a lovely surprise!

Don’t believe this is a genuine Makita part as smaller than original. Also the paint on the top of the Chuck is scratched and not as bright as original. Not sure of its performance as not use as yet underload.

Used this to replace the plastic sleeved chuck on my DHP482 as it was squealing ! Works like my other chuck ( as it is identical ).

It's probably fine, but make sure you can get the old one off first. These Makita chucks are so tight that I'm worried I'll tear a hole in time before it comes loose

Other reviewers mentioned it might not be legit but this is 100% identical to my original Makita chuck, all the manufacturer's markings are the same and it's exactly the same size to the mm, minus the paint my old chuck is now missing. Haven't put it on yet but I don't envisage any issues.
