Before we go explaining about how awesome the figure is let me explain some basic stuff. The reason this figure is called "type 2" is because this version of Zero design is base from the game "Megaman X2 and onward(except MMX8) while the previews Zero figure version 1 was base on the game "Megaman X1". However let me point out that while people say this been base from the MMX2 game, design wise it is, But in reality this one would be more base from the game "Megaman X3" because of the Zero Buster it brings. The Zero Buster from MMX2 and MMX3 are different in design in game and there official artwork from there respective games confirms this. so technically this figure is more to MMX3 than MMX2, and even that the figure itself is base more to the game "Megaman X6" because the figure itself is missing a white collar piece on the base of the neck but which sometimes in different artworks it shows that he has it or not. you can see the white collar on the base of Zero's neck in different artworks of the games from MMX2, MMX3 and some on MMX4 has it while in MMX5 MMX6 does not. So technically you could say this is a hybrid version of all the Zeros from those games in one. I really don't mind about the white neck piece but would have loved to have the MMX2 Zero buster as well so i can have a homage to that game, but anyway on to the review of the figure itself. Just like the previews figure D-arts Megaman X figures, Zero type 2 holds all the same articulations that Zero version 1 has. but this time they improve the piece attachment of the hair. The problem it had on the previews version is that the blue piece that attaches to the head and hair it would break because it was a bit small while in type 2 it is a bit bigger so breaking it is not an issue in this figure. I do have the Zero version 1 and so far for me it hasn't broken yet so I'm cool with it but is nice they improve something a small defect on the previews version for this one. However it still has the problem that the hair is a bit heavy for the head and sometimes you will have Zero looking up but is not an issue, you just simple will have to fiddle with it a bit more to have it position just right. The figure remains the same in articulation but cosmetically is what changes it which is really nice and makes him accurate to the games and artwork, however the biggest change about the figure is the accessory that it brings and that's a lot. accessories wise this figures includes you: - 1 Zero Buster: with a gem piece and another with a hole piece to place the effect shot parts(shot effect part are not included, ill explain later). - a pair of fist. - a pair of open hands. - a pair of holding hands (to hold the sabers or have Zero giving a thumbs up or down) - 3 face parts: normal face (already on the figure), angry face looking right and a angry face screaming looking straight. - 3 Zero sabers: one with a round tip, another with a pointing tip and the third saber in a slash motion. For all 3 Zero sabers you can remove any of the handles and attach it to Zero's back, however doing so it limits the range of motion of the head because the handle would hit the hair piece. Another downside is since Zero brings 3 different sabers effect parts it doesn't bring any buster shot effect parts for the Zero Buster so if you want to have Zero posing with any buster shot effect part you would have to borrow one from the other previews D-Arts MMX figures if you have them, but if you don't have them then that is a problem. but if you do have the previews figures then it shouldn't be a problem because you can have the accessories or body parts of the figures interact or interchange them to one another, example, give X to hold one of the extra Zero Sabers and you can have him represented as he appears in the MMX6 artwork or for Zero the Charge or small Shot effect part from X to use for its Zero Buster). you can also use the face part from the Zero version 1 to use on Zero type 2 and vice-verse. Pros: - level of detail and accuracy. - improvement of the hair attachment part from the previews Zero version 1. - tons of accessories. - option to use effect parts or interchange body parts from other preview D-Arts MMX figures. Con: - hair piece is still heavy for the head causing the figure to look up but is not a big issue. - attaching one of the Zero sabers handles on the back it will restrict some head articulation. - No buster shot effect part for the Zero buster which it could cause some problems for those that do not have previews D-arts MMX figures to use there buster effect parts. - no stand to place all the accessories so you will have to use the box for storage them. This figure is a thing of beauty, it captures the image of the characters from the games and artworks and brings it to life in this figure. If i dare say, this is the best Zero figure after the old model kit versions that Bandai has done in the past. it is a must have either if your a collector or a fan of the character or simply because for you he looks cool, and if you can, get also the Zero version 1 and you will have both version of Zero.

These have held up since I bought them but as I've collected more I've moved away from moving figures like this. It stands up well and doesn't fall over
