Trusted Gaming Monitor for FPS gamers. Great value for the overall feature set and product quality.
Great monitor for 144Hz FPS gaming. If you are still on 60Hz what are you doing, don't bother upgrading anything else until you get yourself one of these bad boys. Is not ips display, and the color quality leaves a bit to be desired outside of gaming, but thats not why you're here. I must say the out of the box picture settings are pretty bad. This monitor at 99 brightness will blind you, and that's what it's set to when you first power it on. I use a very low value Black eQualizer setting, as anything above 10 really does impact picture quality outside of gaming. This monitor is designed for one thing, and it does it very well -- Gaming. It was designed for eSports, so if you are getting this monitor for anything else, it's probably not a very great monitor, but once again... that's not why you're here. You are here to game.Has a nice sturdy base and it is very easy to adjust the position of the monitor. I'm a developer so during the day I rotate the monitor to vertical orientation and use it as a second screen. After work I rotate back to horizontal and switch to my gaming setup. This monitor gives you a lot of freedom in how you position the viewing angle of the screen without losing that stability --- this is a great feature to this monitor. The native settings controls are easy enough to navigate via buttons located on the button panel at the bottom of the monitor frame. I tinkered around in here and saved a couple different presets (for specific games) and it was pretty painless to do.For a value gaming monitor the overall product design of the monitor is quite good. Nice packaging to boot. I personally think it looks great. The monitor doesn't exactly feel high end, but it also does not feel cheap in any way.If you are a hardcore FPS gamer. This is the go-to value monitor in my opinion.Make sure to use the included DVI-DL cable.

Solid BENQ Brand
I bought this monitor nearly 7 years ago and it is still a great monitor to this day. No power supply issues and no dead pixels. I would buy it again and again if I could. It's that reliable. However, the colors out of the box are bad with a greyish yellow tint. I suggest using an ICC color profile for this panel and tweaking the presets to be closer to SRGB. You'll get deeper blacks and sharper colors without sacrificing latency or clarity.

I have been using these monitors for gaming for several years now and I'm very happy with them. I would definitely buy them again.

Great price, value, and performance
This is great for gaming at 1080p 60-144 fpsIt is very smooth the blacks are deep and the colors with vibrancy turned on are great for gaming. For design I also like the color spectrum and how it portrays them, but it is slightly better for gaming colors. Though with some fiddling it is definitely good-great for professional work.It doesn’t get the 5 because I have to constantly change brightness and color vibrancy levels depending on what I am doing (though not that bad of a downside for the price) it really is an amazing monitorAlso viewing angles are bad, but I never notice when I am actually using it like gaming, internet, watching a show or designing I don’t care since the only position I use it is directly in front of it, just figured I would mention.it does a full 180 rotation which seems cool for reading or artwork, but have not really used it too much.Overall great price, great performance / colors and blacks 1080p and up to 144 FPS with dvi only (so gaming consoles cant get to 144 only 60fps through HDMi)

Surprisingly good
Love everything about this display. Absolutely zero dead pixels. No issues whatsoever. The built-in hardware sharpening is a solid feature considering you can achieve similar results with GPU software enabled sharpening filters but with the BenQ Zowie there's NO performance hit -- at about 20-30% it really makes textures pop just a little bit more.No problem hitting 144Hz and I haven't noticed any blacklight bleed. There's some ghosting with the test but in games I haven't noticed anything. Even at 60Hz everything just looks and feels better. Overall color quality is better than expected. Definitely better than my 9 year old LG display. As a few other reviewers mention it helps to tweak the color balance, contrast, etc to your liking. One big recommendation for Nvidia users -- make sure in Nvidia Control panel that your Display Resolution is set to "1920 x 1080 PC" and NOT the "Ultra HD, HD, SD" resolutions. Changing this has a huge impact on improving color quality and removing the horrible white washed look you will probably have after first plugging it in.Other than that one small tweak I'm very pleased with this monitor. It doesn't have Adaptive Sync / GSync support but neither of those features really matter to me. I'd rather lower settings and reach 120+ FPS than use a premium feature that improves stuttering at sub 60 FPS. So if you really love to crank settings to Ultra on the worst optimized / most demanding games this might not be the panel for you.For anyone looking for a really good 1080p 144Hz panel this is the one to get.
