Will the abrasive side scratch shiny surfaces and paint?

I have used them to clean paint off a polished chrome radiator. The paint had been on for at least 2 years. The radiator was unmarked.

Will these wipes work on dried paint splashes / flecks on engineered wooden flooring without damaging new flooring?
