This was perfect for the space I had measured for. It actually gave me more storage than I expected! It was exactly as pictured.

Exactly what I was looking for. Small, lightweight and looks nice. I plan to use it for my military memorabilia.

Happy with my purchase! Like other reviews have mentioned, it is a bit on the flimsy side but that’s fine for my needs to store a few books. I measured before buying and was still a bit surprised by how small it was, but it’s worked out just fine. Only real complaint is that the hinge is LOUD. It’s nice that it holds open but wow, no late night reading for me because I would definitely wake the house, lol.

Except for a problem with the first arriving damaged, this does work for my needs. The first one arrived poorly made, the top “ironwork” was off center so that when the lid was closed , the “ironwork” did not line up properly . There was also a significant ding in the woodwork on one side. Amazon quickly replaced it however and the second was perfectly fine. The lid has a nice feature in the hinge that keeps it open while lifted. The materials are fairly cheap but sturdy enough and lightweight. The overall look was perfect for my needs. Overall, it’s great as a prop or functional decorative piece as long as you don’t expect to heavily abuse it. Keep in mind that there are gaps in the sides between the wood but that adds to the “aged” effect and the interior is black so hard to see anything inside. It’s also possible to add a period looking hasp for a lock to this easily enough.

Very poorly made. Wood was split in areas. Trunk was chipped in a couple of spots as well.Would not recommend it!

I bought this and even though I measured the space it somehow was much smaller than what I had expected. So I bought the larger one. I wanted it to put my couch throws in so when the kids are over everyone has a throw while watching tv. I used the bigger one for that. I still haven't decided what I was going to use this smaller one for yet but they look cute sitting together. I love them. Rustic and beautiful. I do think a bit pricy though.

It also has a clicking open lid thing where you can open the trunk to certain points and have it stay open!Perfect for witchy or adventure stuff!
