Good quality footage, easy to install.
I got this after someone made a false claim again me. I wish I'd bought it years ago.Wiring it up for power is a doddle. Have confidtin yourself and understand it's very difficult to break your car.I bought the OBD power port from Garmin. Figured out which plastic trim panels to pop off to access it, plugged it in and ran the cabling up and shoved it down the inside of the fabric trim, up and around the windscreen and brought it out behind the rear view mirror.I shoved it in place with a fork, using the prongs to gently pull back the fabric, shoving the cabling down and moving along. Took me about 15 minutes.Works well, has speed camera locations pre-loaded, warns you of lane departure and when traffic starts to move from a static queue.Really happy with it and a good price. I got a 256g micro SD so I don't need to worry about storage.I don't bother with any apps, I'll just shove it into my laptop to view anything.

Great little camera.
It was easy to install. Nice little mount easy to hide behind rear view mirror. It performed as expected. Image quality is good.I found downloading videos of any incidents very quick and easy with the app. It connects to my home WiFi when I get home and uploads any videos to the app so I can review and downloadGreat camera for the money.

Excellent Garmin quality
Outstanding product as you would expect from Garmin! If you want a good quality product that does exactly as it says this is for you. You do need to buy an SD card as well.

Good small camera, magnetic mount, camera alerts, can't take high capacity SDHC cards
The camera is very small, so can be a bit fiddly - 4 main buttons and so not immediately obvious which one you have to press. Hard wired previous Snooper so had to use a usb adaptor to fit. Magnet sticks to windscreen making removal of the camera very easy (I haven't tried the wifi download of videos yet but this is usually quite slow on dashcams so easy removal of the camera is welcome so I can read to my PC via a cable). I could not find any reviews or videos or the camera alert functionality but it seems to be good - the speed camera database can be updated via Garmin Drive app and the audio alerts and visual speed limit on the screen are noticeable enough. It did warn me of red light cameras too that I wasn't even aware of! I had an issue with trying to use the 256Gb card I bought - it wouldn't format it. In fact I am not sure if this is a UX issue because the format screen is just blank and for a large card I wasn't sure if it would ever finish - no indication of progress. I even tried formatting it outside on my PC and then using - still would not, but then it needs FAT32. I ended up using an already existing 32Gb card that was already formatted. Another downside is that the screen is small and only 4 buttons to do everything (no touch screen which wouldn't make sense at this size) but you get used to it. I couldn't get the Parking Mode to work because it wouldn't see the constant power first of all. Oh and it runs very hot. But apart from that a good camera, one of the few that alerts to safety cameras too (I was replacing my Snooper but the latest ones had bad reviews so opted for this).

Neat, compact and easy to install
Took me 20 minutes to install using the additional Garmin constant power cable, which plugged straight into the OBD-II port underneath the drivers side. I hid the cable in the trims and headlining, just needed the handle of a teaspoon to gain access. I also bought a 512GB Ultra micro SDXC card, which was easily formatted following the instructions and gives me 3 days of recording before being overwritten. The footage is clear, especially when exported to my PC. The voice commands are great and everything is linked via the Garmin Drive app, which I also use for my sat nav. Highly recommended for car electrical novices like myself.

Seriously bad quality video! DO NOT BUY THIS DASH CAM it is useless
This is the worst video I have ever seen, it's stop, start, stop, start, glitchy as hell. It is absolutely useless for an accident as it will miss the whole thing, I just watched my video play back and you can see several cars up the road on the opposite side of the road, then they are ALL just gone. The video missed them driving up to me and passing me on the opposite side of the road its that glitchy. Don't expect any help from Garmin either, I contacted them as this was supposed to be a top of the range dash high quality dash cam, the guy just said send it back and refused to give me any help. He was pretty arrogant too, comments like "what do you want us to do about it?" .. well for a start, I would like you to get it to actually work like it should! Like you have advertised online, it's such a good-looking video quality, which is a lie!!. It's so bad it's impossible to work out that there is actually a car in front of you, the sound is fine, it works, but the video is minutes behind it as the sound plays normally, but when it is played back on your pc the video is so glitchy and the sound is normal so it's not matched up to the video, its way, way behind.I am using a class 10 memory card so this is not the fault

Great DashCam and Easy to Instal
This is an excellent DashCam but the provided adhesive mounting pad is a nuisance. You cannot move it to a new position. The Garmin pressure, rubber mount pad will have to be purchased to enable you to find the best position for the Cam. Just pull off the supplied adhesive mount and push on the rubber mount type. The features of this Cam are lengthy including the usual drive monitoring: 180 degree view; Clear HD lens; Auto Guard status when car is stationary; takes a 256Gb micro SD card (very fast in Cam formatting); Speed Cam over-the-air updates; Lane assist; Road speed monitoring with warnings; Speed Cam warnings with distance countdown and screen colour changes as you approach the SpeedCam too fast; Warning alarm beeps; Voice control functions (excellent); Software updates over-the -air; If in the area of your home WiFi, you can monitor your DashCam remotely by smartphone; Bluetooth monitoring when setting up Cam position (excellent); Travelapse which you can start/stop by voice command to record your journey independently of all the other monitoring and recording features. Highly recommended.
