Wilkinson M Series Stacked P90 Soapbar Ceramic Single Coil Sized Humbucker Bridge Pickup for SG/LP Electric Guitar, Black

It did the job I intended, which involved replacing a cheap P90 bridge pickup with a stacked humbucker that could give me various wiring options due to having four wires. Unfortunately I had to chisel out plenty of wood in order for it to fit due to its height. It's a noticable improvement over the original cheapo version, according to the before and after videos.

These pickups are quiet but for 15 K's they are not loud. In single coil mode they give you more volume as it often is the case with stacked humbuckers.

The pickup is about 90% noiseless. I put it in an Epiphone Lp Special, I had to router the cavity deeper to fit. So to install takes some work but was worth the effort. Has really good output also

Ich habe eine PRS Se The One, super Gitarre aber das Brummen des P90s ging mir doch jetzt echt auf den Keks. Der Wilkinson Stacked P90 kostet ja nur einen Bruchteil des Seymour Duncan stacked P90, also zum Ausprobieren den Wilkinson bestellt. Das die Pickupfräsung für einen stacked Pickup nicht tief genug sein könnte hatte ich erwartet. Also mit der Oberfräse das Loch tiefer gemacht und dann den neuen Pickup eingebaut. Was soll ich sagen, der neue Sound ist der Hammer. Es klingt immer noch voll nach P90, aber völlig brummfrei. Aber auch der Grundsound klingt unglaublich viel besser als vor dem Umbau. Clean, Crunch oder Lead, alles ist definierter und transparenter, und das für schlappe 25 Euro! Mir ist sowieso ein Rätsel wie einige Hersteller ihre Pickup Preise rechtfertigen. Willkinson rules!
