That depends on how much weight you have in it. I wouldn’t want to try carrying more than 200gm - 300gm. If the item you wish to carry is liable to become snagged, I have no idea of their resistance. I only use them for light duty and bought them because they were cheap.

How much weight can they support

I personally didn't push them to the limit, and if you need something to hold a lot of weight id probably buy some heavy duty carabiniers. I use these to hang toys for my pet rats and they hold well, don't about anything heavier.

Could you use these to attach guy lines to a tent - would they be strong enough in heavy wind? Thanks, JP

I can with 100% certainty answer this with a big fat no. I tried it and all of the clips failed and this was in a moderate wind, not heavy at all. They are die cast mild metal and not strong enough for this purpose.
