My dog (Erebus) absolutely loves this toy. He is a 1 1/2 year old lab (75lbs) and usually destroys any stuffed toy within a few hours, but he is far more gentle with Gator and brings him everywhere he goes. I work from home and Erebus brings Gator out when he first wakes up, naps with it while I work, and takes it to bed with him. I have to take it away from him when he goes outside so it doesn't get muddy and dirty. Even though he is more careful with this toy, it still gets plenty of play. We got the first as a Christmas present and nearly 4 months later (daily toss & fetch) still doesn't have a single tear. The squeaker JUST broke last week, so I bought two more as backups (he still loves the old one without the squeaker), nervous they might be discontinued. This toy is high quality, feels durable, and has a stronger fabric than most, but isn't indestructible. I think most medium-large sized dogs would get plenty of use out of this, but if your pup is known for aggressively shredding toys this /might/ not be the one for you.

My dog was able to chew thru the tail and start to destuff in maybe 10 mins. Takes her longer on the smaller ones. But overall she loved it.

I have a puppy who loves the “jumbo” version of this we got from the big box store. He’s a large breed, so I was hoping for a larger version of that same toy for when he grows up. This “regular” priced was more expensive than the pet store, so I thought it would be bigger. XL is much smaller than Jumbo. Still very durable and soft, and he still loves it. But if you want the big one, just go to the big box pet store to get it for cheaper.

Loved this blue stuffy - it reminded me of a stuffie I won at a Parish Bazaar when I was a kid. I chose to buy it for my sweet dog who loved it too. We call him BLUE .... the squeaky is loud enough but more difficult than I expected for me or my dog to get it to squeak. I ended up giving it to my granddaughter who loved it too and she had more success with the squeaky of her new stuffie since she cannot have a live dog where she lives. He is the perfect size for her to carry around. She likes to play with this stuffie and make him squeak. Perhaps if your dog is a more active chewer he may have more success with the squeak or you can do what I did and share wiht a sweet kiddo who loves cute stuffies. Peace to you....
