Do you need to leave these turned on to work for ghost hunting?

Yes. The notion is that if ghosts exist and if they can interact with their environment then they might be able to interact with the cat ball and make it move. The ball goes to sleep if left at rest. Movement triggers the ball and it lights up, but the ball would have to be turned on for that to happen.

Can you replace the battery?

No, they are sealed, a one shot deal. Once the battery dies you need to get another set. Hope this helps, thanks

When I received mine one of the balls had been activated and was almost dead. They seem to be sealed. I could not open mine. I believe them to be a one shot deal. Use them until the battery dies then order another set. Hope this helps, thanks !
