Depends on what you mean by dented.. the balls should be smooth all the way around. If the outside is damaged, most likely the doll inside will still be ok.

Q: Which lol balls dissolve in water or bath tub

The balls do not dissolve. Certain LOL products include fizz bombs, but they are not meant to be used in the bathtub.
