EDIT; Posh Flavour reached out to me and explained that the reason the jar is half full is because the miso contains no preservatives and thus it produces gas, the space in the jar is to account for that. The gas is also the reason the product sometimes arrives having leaked as the gas builds pressure the aluminium seal can break which is why that product is also wrapped in plastic. Since the product actually tastes really good I'm gonna give it another try, just wish I could get a bigger jar

It gets added to all my asian dishes to bring in the umami taste and i like the distinct flavour it brings.The seal wasn't good. They should work on it.

Didn't even contained half jar of miso. It was like how Lay's packs it's product. Half ful. No value for money,as for the amount.The tin foil package under the jar lid was swollen, like gas bubbles. When opened, it burst on our face a lil. So dunno if it was expired or what. But i will still try it in the near future and will edit this comment, if I am wrong in the context of taste and health.

I haven't really had miso since I lived in Japan more than 20 years ago, but I suddenly had a hankering, perhaps because I had to take antibiotics twice in one month. This is fantastic miso, packed with probiotics and authentic delicious taste. I'm having miso soup every day now and loving it. I have tried other company's miso but none other had me inspired like this. It is expensive cause it goes fast but what would be the point of getting something cheaper and losing the taste and quality and authenticity. Making good miso is an art and this company has done a fantastic job!!!

The taste of the chickpea miso is great and I am so happy to be able to find a soy miso alternative. However, I was very disappointed that the bottle was half empty when I opened it.

This is the best miso I have ever used since my long time association with macrobiotic and japanese food. It is a pure product and safe for any diet. Highly recommended. In summer heat transport may create a bit of extra fermentation and may loosen the lid or seal. This is absolute no problem and happens with natural original products. Save to use. Don't waste it. Too good to be wasted.
