THIS PRODUCT WORKS GREAT
I like the variety of harmony combinations, the ability to set and save four settings to memory. The reverb/delay and enhancement controls are great. Play thru with guitar functions nice. I use an acoustic electric into VE2 then into PA system; for my ES-335 I plug into my 60 Watt amp. I am a solo performer so this is ideal. I I also use a Rowin Beat Looper where I can lay down a rhythm track, then play my Trumpet thru the mic (and VE2) for a harmonized horn section. Also the foot switch for the Rowin Beat Looper works the same as the Boss F6 footswitch for 1/3 the price. Perfect product for a solo or duo playing small venue Coffee Shops, Bars and Restaurants. A very exciting product, buy it and enjoy the fun and versatility. Also if you are like me and don't always hit the note; the pitch correction is great. And hearing the harmonies while I sing helps me hit the right notes anyway. I have some videos on YouTube, Legendary Chill Monroe. Next week I will add some new tracks so you hear the difference using the Boss VE2.

Price is right for what you get, easy to use, sounds great
I would suggest this unit to anyone. Easy to use and set up. Performs spot on. Haven't got to all features yet but I am sure they will be great. If there was a down side I would l would prefer more memory than just three. I have 365 songs so you might see the point. The foot pedal which I haven't tried yet may solve that problem. Great unit worth the money.

One of the best vocal processors in the market
I have gone through several vocal and effects processors including TC-Helicon. Boss VE-2 beats all of them. The effects are flawless. TC-Helicon's Harmony Singer was horrible in creating harmonies. VE-2 is fantastic. The reverb and other effects are crisp. My only complain is that it does not come with the power supply. Boss' own recommendation is that the unit consumes power and should be used with an adapter.

good sound, very poor design layout; steve jobs would kill it.
I like it a lot, but ergonomically, it stinks. The printing on the top side is so small you have to hold it up to your face to see it; bad news in the dark of a stage. who needs that stress! printing on the back is black - on a black background. you gotta be kidding me! I suppose Boss thinks embossing the letters in white on a black background is too distracting to an audience, but does the audience really care? it's the musician who cares. you need a flashlight on stage for that one! the front dials are too small and too close together; hard to reach for quickly. you have to slow down and be very careful. the foot pedal is no prize either; hard to fully depress when sitting down; not enough of an angle and you can't feel a positive click with shoes on. i also wish they would have separated the reverb and the chorus into two knobs instead of making it a combo knob. Sometimes you want more reverb but can't do it because you cross over into the chorus mode. but the absolute worse is the blue light that comes on to indicate the harmonizing mode is engaged. Your foot is right over the light!! you can't see it! it is only good if you put it on and leave it on. most songs you engage the harmonizer mode for just a phrase or a couple of words then take it out of mode quickly. if you look down to check (since the foot pedal is a poor design) you won't see it - so you won't know if it is on or off. But, the sound is great. that's something at least. maybe the most important aspect?

Bummer
Sadly had to return this. I found it very temperamental. Using the key selection knob, I couldn’t get anything to sound in tune. Plugged in my guitar and used that feature, which was a big improvement, but still not great. Couldn’t get the memory light to stop blinking. And for the most part, the harmonies were very robotic and artificial. Overall, very disappointing as this has all the features I wanted. Will try the TC Helicon.

Not suitable for recording applications.
We'll constructed, but not adequate for my home studio recordings. May be suitable for live performance applications.

Great investment!
OMG I live this. So easy to use and the harmonies - the harmonies are beautiful! I was afraid of it sounding very electronic but not at all. This product has a better sound quality than a $600 harmonizing peddle I have heard.
