No assembly required. Just set the stand and put the balancing man in the center. No battery required.I constantly have people asking about it in my office. I really like the heaviness. The balancing act while it's spinning pretty fast is fascinating. This is definitely a very cool product.

I have many sunnytech products from sterling engines, solar powered spinny toys, and this balance. Mine is the little airplane on the balance stand. It appears to be made from simple off the shelf parts, and balances on a screw. It has this super cool engineer aesthetic that i really like. I love aviation and mechanics so this is great for my desk. My cat loves it, he will sit here and play with it and watch it spin for a half hour every now and then. Sometimes i spin it and my cat is across the room staring, then runs up and plays with it. Sunnytech has a very good product quality, also their customer service is great but be prepared for very broken english. I had to replace a broken tempered glass cylinder for my horizontal sterling engine, and the means of doing so was a bit odd, however it worked regardless. They gave me 2 cylinder for price of 1, Also they threw me a bunch of free O rings too, which i didnt need but i put them in my sterling engine extra parts bin. I am very impressed with every sunnytech product, and i know this sounds like they paid me to say this but i am not paid by or associated with sunnytech in any way whatsoever. I just love the quality, if you havent tried one of their sterling engines do yourself a favor and buy one

I’m really impressed by this! It seems to be pretty sturdy, including the balls on the end of each side of the bar. It is extremely well balanced, which you can see in the video. It does spin for quite a long time, several minutes if you give it a good twirl and let it go. You can really get it rocking back and forth and it will stay on the pedestal. The pedestal is made of a bolt, nut, metal cylinder and some other hardware store type parts but it does go together nicely. You do have to assemble the pedestal yourself but there are directions in the box, it’s very simple and will take about 30 seconds. It comes in a flat box which is kind of nice because it is easy to wrap and isn’t immediately evident as to what it is. It would make for a nice stocking stuffer. We have one of these made out of wood that was quite a bit more in price and doesn’t spin as long. I do like the little loincloth type of thing he has on. I think it adds a nice bit of character to him. All in all, it does what you’d expect and isn’t overpriced. It stands just under 7 inches tall and just about as wide so it won’t take up much space on a desk or shelf.

a nice toy but mine only lasts about 25 seconds before it slows down and then stops. disappointed about that.

For me it was from my childhood memories. We had one made of wood - a man balancing two buckets. It was fun to watch then, it is fun to watch now - however, now I know why this guy never tips over - pure simple physics. Requires a very simple assembly, finish is very good, and surprisingly spins for quite long time. Wish it was a little bigger and of wood, but this is just a wish not a complaint. I knew what I am buying and I am happy I did.

I am a fan of airplanes, and was looking for some living room decoration related to it. This product is great quality and entertaining without being childish (just perfect as decoration item). I would say it doesn’t require assembly or is just extremely easy. Good movement stability.

Beautiful, dynamic conversation piece. I love my Hercules and can't help stopping to watch him spin every time I pass by the desk where it stands, making a statement. Highly recommended it's the gift that keeps on giving.
